Zur Destillation von Petroleum und ähnlichen Flüssigkeiten sind bereits Apparate benutzt worden, bei denen die Destillation der Flüssigkeit durch Gegenspritzen gegen die beheizte Innenwand eines Cylinders erfolgt. Hierbei bilden sich an letzterer feste Abscheidungen, die entfernt werden müssen; um nun gleichzeitig mit der Destillation der Flüssigkeit auch diese festen Abscheidungen zu entfernen, soll der nachfolgend beschriebene Apparat Verwendung finden, dessen Haupteigenfhümlichkeit aus einer Hohlwelle mit Vertheilungsdüsen und Abstreifschnecken besteht. Der innerhalb dieses Gehäuses gelegene Theil der Hohlwelle ist mit Durchbrechungen versehen, mit Hülfe deren die mittelst eines Rohres in das Gehäuse e eingeführte Flüssigkeit in das Innere der Hohlwelle geleitet wird, wonach die Flüssigkeit bei der Drehung der Hohlwelle über die Innenwand des Cylinders vertheilt wird. Die bei der Berührung der Flüssigkeit mit den heifsen Wandungen des Cylinders entwickelten Dämpfe gelangen durch ein nach oben sich erstreckendes Rohr in einen Behälter k, von dem aas sie zu den Condensgefäfsen geleitet werden. Die Kühlung der letzteren kann mittelst der zu destillirenden bezw. in das Gehäuse e überzuführenden Flüssigkeit bewirkt werden, so dafs dabei die Wärme der Dämpfe für die Vorwärmung der Flüssigkeit nutzbar gemacht wird.The stationary cylinder α , surrounded by the flues c and heatable from the furnace b, contains a hollow shaft d with nozzles g which serve to distribute the liquid to be distilled over the inner wall of the cylinder α.
