Description

Process for achieving uniform colorations on cellulose-containing Fibers with vat and sulfur dyes When dyeing with vat or sulfur dyes, the high affinity for cellulose or regenerated cellulose fibers in the form of their leuco compounds show, experience has shown that difficulties often arise in that the dye pulls unequally on the fiber and due to its high affinity im. Course of the Dyeing process no longer equalized.

It is known that when dyeing by the addition of cation-active Compounds based on polyalkylenepolyamines determine the rate of drawdown is slowed down, whereby level dyeings are obtained. This procedure has however, the disadvantage that more or less large amounts of dye are retained in the dyebath and thus no longer attach to the fiber, which results in lighter colors and valuable dye is lost at the same time.

In the German patent specification 874 760 it is indicated that by adding from sulphurized phenols to the dyebath at the end of the dyeing process, the more reserved Effect of the aforementioned compounds can be canceled again. It will but in many cases the effect of the cationic braking agent is eliminated too quickly, so that the dye remaining in the dyebath suddenly and completely unevenly pulls on the fiber.

If colored after a stripping process in the presence of both auxiliaries this is done according to the information in the patent specification mentioned in the case of falling Temperature. Here, too, there are no uniform colors.

It has now been found that, surprisingly, the cation-active Compounds if they are used together with the sulphurized phenols from the outset Dyebath can be added and if at from 50 to 70 ° C gradually increased temperature is dyed, have no reticent effect on the dyes without to lose their leveling effect. This was not to be foreseen; rather had to it can be assumed that the sulphurized Phenols would inhibit the cation-active compounds in their leveling effect.

Beispiel Einer auf übliche Weise hergestellten Farbstoffküpe, die 0,6 °/o Indanthrengrünblau FFG Plv. f. f. Fbg. (Schultz, Farbstofftabellen, 7. Auflage, Bd. Example of a conventionally made dye vat containing 0.6% indanthrene green blue FFG plv. F. F. Fbg. (Schultz, color tables, 7th edition, Vol. II, p. 127), based on the cotton fabric to be dyed, are per Liter 0.25 g of the reaction product of a polyethylene polyamine mixture with ethylene chloride (Patent 874 760, Example 1) and 0.25 g of the sulphurisation product that one according to patent 572361 by sulfurizing phenol in the presence of alkali carbonate obtained, dissolved in sodium hydroxide solution, added.

The cotton fabric is placed in the dye bath at 50 ° C and the Temperature increased to 70 ° C. over the course of one hour. You get a very even Coloring when the dyebath is almost completely exhausted.

Fbg. (Schultz, Farbstofftabellen, 7. Auflage, Bd. II, S. 128) oder Indanthrendunkelblau BOA Plv. f. f. Fbg. (a. a. O., Nr. 1262), gleichmäßige Färbungen erhalten, ohne daß praktisch beachtenswerte Farbstoffmengen ungenutzt bleiben. In the same way, with other difficult-to-level dyes, such as indanthrene brilliant violet 4R Plv. f. f. Fbg. (Schultz, color tables, 7th edition, Vol. II, p. 128) or Indanthrendarkblau BOA Plv. F. F. Fbg. (a. a. O., No. 1262), uniform colorations obtained without any practical note Dye quantities remain unused.
