Die Schenkelstütze besteht vorzugsweise aus zwei gegeneinander beweglichen Trägern, die mit einem gemeinsamen, nachgiebigen Bezug bespannt sind. Dadurch ergibt sich bei einem einfachen Aufbau eine ununterbrochene Auflagefläche, die sich bis zu der Beckenmulde erstreckt und dort ohne merklichen, Übergang befestigt ist.
