A method for preventing caking of stacked sheets or wound tapes during annealing with subsequent application of a phosphate protective coating additive to the Patent 1030 377 It is often, metal plates, which have to be provided, for example to achieve an insulating protection with a tightly adherent layer is required to anneal before. Such annealing can in particular serve to bring about special properties of the sheet, for example magnetic properties. In the manufacture of transformer sheets, for example, grain-oriented annealing was carried out and then the sheets were provided with a phosphate layer for the purpose of insulation protection.
The object of the invention is now to carry out the annealing according to the method of patent 1030 377 while preventing the stacked sheets or the wound strips from sticking together with the aid of a film made from a solution containing monocalcium phosphate and / or monobarium phosphate and / or monoaluminum phosphate with baking was applied, and after annealing, to apply an insoluble phosphate layer directly to the surface by a stoving reaction. It has been found that the method according to patent 1030 377 not only prevents sheets or strips from sticking together during annealing, but that the annealed workpieces have a surface on which phosphate layers can be applied particularly favorably after the baking process. If the annealing of these workpieces provided with a phosphate layer according to the special process is carried out in a reducing atmosphere, then during the annealing, especially if this is carried out at temperatures above 850 ° C, the phosphate layer is destroyed except for small residues without the protection against the caking would go away. After the annealing has ended, this surface is particularly well suited for receiving films of solution which, when stoved, produce phosphate layers. The same solutions can be used for this purpose as were used to prevent caking according to the method of patent 1030,377 . However, it is also possible to obtain these layers to be applied after the annealing with the help of other solutions. The processes and solutions for their application are not the subject of this property right, nor are their application for the purpose of electrical insulation.
It is Z. It is also possible, for example, to incorporate additives that can serve various purposes, in particular insulation, into these layers, which after baking are not exposed to annealing conditions that are not destructive again in terms of temperature, duration and atmosphere of the annealing. For example, titanium compounds or zirconium compounds in soluble or suspended form can be added to the phosphate solutions that are to be burned in as a film in order to increase the insulating effect and the resistance to possible afterglowing of the sheet. The process is explained in more detail using an example: To produce a grain-oriented transformer sheet, for example, a bright annealed strip made of silicon-containing iron with a film of a solution containing 100 g of calcium monophosphate per liter, which, due to a low phosphoric acid content, corresponds to about 10 g of P205 per liter was stabilized, covered. The evenly applied film of solution was baked at 500 to 600 ° C. for 30 seconds. The wound tape was then annealed at 1100 ° C. in an atmosphere of pure hydrogen for several hours, as a result of which the grain orientation desired for the transformer tape occurred. The tape was then allowed to cool slowly in hydrogen, unwound, re-stretched and passed through a solution containing 150 g / 1 primary ammonium phosphate,
140 g / 1 primary calcium phosphate,
20 g / l P2 05 in the form of free phosphoric acid
and
20 g / 1 mica flour
contained, whereby a uniform film of this solution was formed on the surface. The tape then passed through a stoving zone in which the solvent film was stoved onto the metal surface for about 10 to 20 seconds at 600 ° C. The result was a transformer tape provided with a uniformly dense insulating layer, the insulating layer of which adheres well, is insoluble and at the same time protects the tape well against corrosion and does not tend to peel off. The layer is sufficiently resistant to the stress that occurs with such tapes.
There were also tapes made, both for sintering protection
as well as for insulation protection both times the same solution of ammonium phosphate,
Calcium phosphate and phosphoric acid with added Glimtner was chosen. One of those too
The procedure has proven to be suitable. It is particularly surprising that at
a combination of the individual process steps as they are according to the invention
is carried out, an intermediate cleaning of the sheet after annealing and before
Applying the insulation layer is not only not required, but that one
The surface in the state it is after annealing is particularly receptive
for applying insulation protection by burning in a phosphate layer
is.
