Floor brake for vehicles, in particular motor vehicles. The invention
relates to a floor brake for vehicles, especially motor vehicles, whose
Braking force is transmitted directly to the vehicle frame or the chassis
and which are attached by means of guide rods pivotably mounted on the chassis,
has braking members to be brought between the roadway and the wheels to be braked,
which transfer the entire wheel load of the rear wheels.
There are already ground brakes known, which from several
there are plate-shaped brake bodies arranged one behind the other, which together
are connected and articulated by means of a linkage on the vehicle frame, in such a way
that when the brake is released, the brake body due to their gravity on the ground
fall so that the wheel behind it hits the brake body from behind,
the last brake body comes to rest between the wheel and the ground and the front ones
Brake body against the wheel. The disadvantage of this floor brake is that because of
the necessary, relatively long linkage, at the end of which the brake body
are appropriate, they are relatively far in front of the wheel or hang freely
and as a result, it is not guaranteed that the brake bodies work in such a way that
as this is desired. This is especially true when the speed of the
vehicles to be braked is large. Another disadvantage of these brakes arises
insofar as lateral shear forces, in particular caused by uneven floors,
able to push the brake body to the side, so that either no perfect
Achieved braking effect or at least damaged the braking device itself
so that their further usefulness is in question.
There are also braking devices known in which a
Brake spoon is pushed between the wheel and the road or a brake body
like a brake block between the wheel and the road, but lying in front of the wheel
will. These known braking devices are simple handlebars or linkages
connected to the vehicle frame and may only be used by people who drive relatively slowly
Vehicles are sufficiently effective to be applicable, but are designed for traveling at high speeds
moving motor vehicles which, in the event of danger, quickly, safely and without skidding,
are to be braked, not usable.
freizugeben.A major disadvantage of all previously known braking devices
is their return to their ready position, which is cumbersome in this respect,
than the vehicle must be driven back with its rear wheels to the braking member
to release.
The shortcomings of the known braking devices are addressed according to the invention
thereby avoided that the guide linkage assigned to each wheel to be braked
consists of a two-stroke linkage, the links of which are articulated with at the hinge points
arranged, the standby position securing springs connected to each other
are and of which at least one member of a parallel and angular velocity equal
working pair of struts is formed and that with one end on the vehicle frame or
Chassis is pivotally mounted, carries the brake member at its other end
and with his joint connecting the linkage against the braked
Wheel applies, with part of the guide linkage between the brake member and the
Suspension point outside their connecting line with respect to the wheel center
and this connecting line intersects the outer wheel circle. The creation of
Strive on both sides of the wheel to avoid the brake body even if it occurs laterally
Keeping thrust forces safely under the tire is an essential prerequisite
to allow the braking device to be optimally effective in every situation, without
that this can fail, because a failure of such an emergency braking device
in the event of greatest danger, practically means an accident with serious consequences. Another
A significant advantage of the subject matter of the invention is that the vehicle after
Braking pushed back automatically and thereby the resting on the floor
Brake member is released without special measures being necessary,
because this - the tire deformed by the contact of the joint of the brake linkage
causes when it returns to its normal form; by releasing the braking device
this is returned to its standby position by itself, so that the vehicle
thereupon
can continue. To prevent dirt that could jeopardize operational safety
or ice build-up, especially at the joints, are the linkages and their joints
preferably designed or arranged such that they are in the standby position
Perform cushioned movements against each other under the influence of the vehicle bumps
can.

Ende Augen 17a - bzw. 17 b zur Aufnahme des Gelenkbolzens18, welchen eine Schraubenfeder
19 umgibt.
The floor brake device is attached to the vehicle frame by means of a rotatably mounted shaft 11; the well lies close to the two rear wheels of the vehicle and extends from side to side. At the ends of the shaft 11, the upper arms 12 a and 12 b of the two-stroke linkage, which are axially movably mounted in this way, are seated parallel to one another. On both sides of the shaft 11 are on the lever arms 12 a and 12 b, the compression springs 13 a and 13 b and 14 a and 14 b, which are supported on abutments 15 a and 15 b or 16 a and 16 b of the lever arms 12 a and 12 b . The lever arms 12a and 12b have eyes 17a and 17b at their free end for receiving the hinge pin 18, which is surrounded by a helical spring 19. The spring 19 is under tension and causes the two-stroke linkage to buckle, the outer lever arms 21 a and 21 b of which are hinged to the upper lever arms 12 a and 12 b by means of the hinge pin 18. The outer lever arms 21 a and 21 b are connected to one another at their free end by means of chains 22 extending transversely to them and by a strut 23; the two outer chains are connected by a longitudinal chain.
On the shaft 11 sit disks 24, between which the ends of the
Cables 25 and 26 are wound onto the shaft and attached to it. Of the
Cable 25 is at its free end with a manual actuation and release lever 127
connected, the rope 26 via a return spring 28 to the vehicle frame.
bedarf. In order to trigger the braking device, the hand lever or, if necessary, also the foot lever 27 is actuated, as a result of which the shaft 11 is rotated in the direction of the arrow by means of the cable 25. The shaft takes the two-stroke linkage 12 a, 12 b, 21 a, 21 b with it and leads this, in particular the free end of the outer lever arms 21 a and 21 b, against the rear vehicle tires 29, so that the chain strands 22 under the tires and between them and come to rest on the ground. The two outer lever arms 21 a and 21 b rest on both sides of the tire. The two-stroke linkage is pulled into the extended position when braking, the hinge pin 18 being pressed against the tread of the tire, as can be seen from FIG. After the vehicle has braked to a standstill, the deformed tire presses against the double stroke linkage and the vehicle will roll back a small amount, with the tires 29 exposing the free ends of the brake linkage. The shaft 11 is then rotated back by the spring 28 and the cable pull 26 in the opposite direction to the arrow, whereby the two-stroke linkage is returned to its starting position according to FIG. 1. The spring 19 arranged in the joint ensures that the outer lever arms 21 a and 21 b buckle in relation to the upper lever arms 12 a and 12 b until they form an acute angle with one another. As soon as the brake linkage is in its rest position again, it is ready for operation again without the need for special measures.
