Description
Lötkolben, auswechselbare Lötkolbenspitze od. dgl.Soldering iron, exchangeable soldering iron tip or the like.
Man hat dabei die Kupferteilchen allseitig mit einer dünnen Eisenschicht versehen und erst aus diesen Ausgangsstoffen die Lötwerkzeuge gefertigt.made of sintered metal The invention relates to a soldering iron, a exchangeable soldering iron tip or the like made of sintered metal. It has already become known to form a porous soldering tip or fin as a sintered body, with the starting material either pure carbonyl nickel or sintered carbonyl iron is used. Furthermore, soldering irons have become known in which the heat supplying on one Underlay a porous layer that absorbs the solder is attached. Such porous or porous layers can be produced by sintering on metal or on galvanic Paths are generated. It is also known to use soldering tools made of powdered metals, like copper and iron powder. You have the copper particles on all sides provided with a thin iron layer and only from these starting materials the soldering tools manufactured.
The object of the invention is to provide soldering irons, replaceable soldering iron tips Od. The like. Made of sintered metal to improve further. This goal is according to the invention essentially achieved in that the sintered metal made of metal of high thermal conductivity, preferably copper, and metal of low solubility in solder, preferably iron, consists. Experiments have shown that the percentage of iron or Copper can be between 100 / aFe and 90% Cu or 90% Fe and 10% Cu. The best However, properties are obtained when the sintered metal is made up of equal parts of copper and iron is made. In themselves, copper and iron powder are sintered materials already known, but this material has not yet been used to manufacture Soldering tools, such as soldering irons, replaceable soldering iron tips or the like, are used.
The soldering tool according to the invention has excellent properties. Around To determine the service life of the soldering tools according to the invention were detailed Tests carried out. A bath made of soldering tin 60 (see DIN 1707) was set up for this purpose, d. H. a solder with 60% tin content melted and in such a bath a soldering iron of electrolytic copper for 6 hours while maintaining a temperature of Immersed at 350 ° C. A weight loss of 27% was found after removal. If the same tests are carried out with a soldering tool according to the invention, and Although the composition is 10 to 33% Fe, the remainder copper, this results in compliance under the same conditions a weight loss of only 14%. Is used in the experiments a soldering tool, which consists of a sintered metal that is in equal parts Contains copper and iron, the weight loss is even only after 6 hours 1.6%, i.e. only a fraction of the loss of substance that occurs in many used electrolytic copper bulb occurs. It should be noted that the service life of the soldering tool according to the invention is not negligibly increased when the experiments does not carry out with solder 60 but with solder 25.
The thermal conductivity of the soldering tool according to the invention is provided theoretical calculations are used as a basis, lower than that of pure electrolytic copper, however, one has it in hand within certain limits, the thermal conductivity for example by increasing the copper content of the mixture.
As already mentioned, the soldering tool according to the invention can both Have the shape of a soldering iron as well as that of an exchangeable soldering iron tip. The last-mentioned embodiment is important because it allows the possibility is given to retrospectively use copper soldering irons that are already on the market to be provided with a soldering iron tip made of sintered metal, so that also with these pistons the advantages of the soldering tool according to the invention can be exploited. Included such a soldering iron tip can be detached in a manner known per se with the actual Pistons are connected, for example by using a grub screw or by using a bayonet catch or the like. Can take place.
If a composite soldering iron is used, so one one consisting of a soldering iron tip made of sintered metal and a rear part pure copper, you can put an intermediate layer between these two parts turn on, which is preferably made of copper, which a certain percentage is added by graphite. The percentage of graphite depends on the respective desired thermal conductivity of the intermediate layer, and though this is expediently chosen so that it is smaller than that of pure copper and larger than that of the sintered metal soldering iron tip. That way it gets you adjust the thermal conductivity and avoid heat build-up.
It should be mentioned that the soldering iron according to the invention is known per se May have shape and shape, for example, it can be as a pointed flask or as a Hammer piston be formed.
