Werden solche Doppelfassungen in Leuchten mit im Querschnitt engen Leuchtengehäuse eingebaut, so ergeben sich wegen des kleinen Abstandes zwischen Fassungsrand und Leuchtengehäuse Schwierigkeiten beim Einführen der Lampen. Werden in derartige Leuchtengehäuse Reflektoren mit besonderen geometrisch-optischen Eigenschaften, z. B. Spiegelrefiektoren mit Parabelquerschnitt, angebracht, so sollen auch bei Verwendung von zwei Lampen die reflektierten Strahlen möglichst wenig von der errechneten Richtung abweichen. Diese Aufgabe läßt sich mit Hilfe der bekannten langgestreckten Doppelfassungen wegen ihrer durch die Bauweise gegebenen Abmessungen nicht lösen.
