It is known to use electrical or thermal energy to record typefaces, Measurement marks or transfers, or reproduction of images or other records of any Art to produce on sheet-like structures by z. B. papers or other flat · shaped Bodies, which generally consist of electrically non-conductive material, are provided with coatings the recording by the application of an electric field, by the flashover of a electrical spark or by electrical energy generated in any way.

für elektrische RegistrierungIt is known that such sheet-like structures suitable for registration are produced by applying a conductive layer to the non-conductive carrier material or using a material which has already been rendered conductive and which is covered by a less conductive layer, with the interaction of the two layers taking place . Carbon powder in finely divided form, but also metals, metal powders, electrically conductive metal salts or oxides are preferably used as conductive substances for the layer with good electrical conductivity. The top layer, which is usually of a different color and applied to the conductive layer, contains, in addition to any color pigments, substances that cause a change in color through the action of certain amounts of electrical energy. The character formation can also take place in such a way that the cover layer burns by the electrical spark. The substances that change color due to the action of electrical energy can be applied to the sheet-like carrier in a ready-to-use state that is sensitive to electrical influences or by chemical reaction during preparation or subsequently e.g. B. p H -value or treatment are produced with further adjuvants on the support by small amounts of thermal energy change. They are expediently anchored to the conductive support with the aid of a binding agent so that they do not become detached. The following binders can be used: high polymer hydrocarbons, such as polystyrene, polyethylene, etc., proteins and protein derivatives, such as animal glue, albumins, casein, and preferably vinyl compounds or their ether, ester and acetalization products, such as. B. polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinyl acetate or polyvinyl ester, polyvinyl chloride or copolymers of vinyl compounds and unsaturated monomers, such as maleic acid, acrylic acid, unsaturated resin acids, olefins and unsaturated aldehydes. Nitration products of cellulose, such as processes for production, are also used as binders

Collodion wool or trinitrocellulose are suitable. Under certain working conditions it is possible to these binders even without the use of pigments or substantial amounts of pigments in this way to apply that a layer with a microporous surface is formed, its characterizing feature is a non-closed surface film. This texture of the surface enables a special Light exposure to the applied electrical energy, e.g. B. in the form of a spark breakdown, the takes place particularly easily due to the microporous nature of the surface layer.
The microporous layers can, for example, by changing an inherently film-forming Substance by the closed film formation preventing additives such. Contrasting underlay. Surface that forms a layer and has a microporous structure can, by melting this substance by electrical energy, becomes so transparent that this contrasting surface appears clearly as an image. For the production of such fusible coatings ^, the substances and pigments that change color under the influence of electrical energy for reinforcement may contain, are z. B. all substances suitable when an electric field is applied a highly refractive form turn into a translucent film or, if necessary, evaporate. Particularly suitable in this sense are polymeric vinyl compounds, such as polyvinyl acetals, Polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl ester or their copolymers with one another or with maleic acid, Methacrylic acid, fumaric acid and others, but also other thermoplastics such as polystyrene, ethoxylin resins, Polyglycols, waxes, polyethylene and other fusible high molecular weight hydrocarbons. The recyclable materials are still not limited to plastics. There are too Natural substances such as shellac, natural waxes, rosin, dammar resin and others are suitable.
In the apparatus used for recording, the occurrence of heat is generally to be expected, which easily causes these layers of thermoplastics, which have good adhesiveness in the sintered or solvent-containing state, to adhere to one another z. B. Funkenregistrier-, facsimile, echo sounder, glow plug or other papers, in their application z. B. be limited considerably when stored under tropical or humid climates or in a long stay in the serving for recording apparatuses w r poor in their fitness.
According to the invention, the aim is now to use effective measures to reduce the unfavorable effects To prevent the layers from sticking, especially when the carrier is coated on both sides.
It is known that the adhesiveness can be significantly reduced by increasing the size of the molecule with chemical substances that attack active groups of the "thermoplastic, polymeric synthetic or natural material. Suitable, for example, for the crosslinking of even only a small amount of OH-, NH 2 - or COO Η- Group-bearing vinyl compounds or other plastics are, for example, aldehydes, di- or polyaldehydes, ketenes, di- or polyisocyanates, in short all substances that react sufficiently easily with the reactive groups to crosslink self-activating, unsaturated groups through the addition of polymerization catalysts, siccatives or other metal salts that accelerate the polymerization crosslink in such a way that sticking no longer occurs This shifts back with a simultaneous increase in the response voltage (ie the voltage at which the registration is just visible for a given amount of energy), as a result of which such recording media are less suitable for further use.
It has now been found, surprisingly, that such layers diffusely scatter the light Marking substances and thermoplastic
That when such protective layers are applied, no or no significant increase in the response voltage required was not to be expected, nor was the refractive state is only changed insignificantly. Retain microporous layers provided with such a coating up to 150 ° C in contrast to untreated layers with their high degree of whiteness, change thus not with dark coloring, as is the case with microporous layers that have not been provided with a coating happens, while on the other hand their adhesiveness is greatly reduced. Suitable for the layers of the type mentioned above has the application of a top layer of infusible, film-forming substances shown, which has approximately monomolecular strength. As such, for example, water-soluble Esters or ethers of cellulose, such as sodium cellulose glycol, potassium or ammonium, methyl cellulose, Reaction products of cellulose with ethylene or propylene oxide and others, polyuronic acid Salts such as B. Na, potassium or ammonium alginate, alkali pectinates or their soluble conversion products, starch ether, tragacanth, agar-agar, high-melting forms of soluble salts of polymethacrylic or polyacrylic acid, as well as protein compounds such as albumins and others, can be used. as A thin coating of water-soluble salts of polyuronic acids has proven to be particularly effective, mainly the alkali or ammonium alginates, proven to be soluble in water by reaction with Alkaline earth or heavy metal salts that are already present in the layer to be protected can or can be applied to the alginate layer in solution, can be hardened.
Treated solution and then dried, the solution for the better and Uniform application of wetting agents can be added. The layers covered with the solution, which at the same time contain the electrically or thermally sensitive substance, are affected by this Coating in its microporous state not or only slightly changed, the melting point increased and the flowing into one another of the plastic particles is prevented, so that the whiteness in the case of white layers, even at 150 ° C, there is only an insignificant decrease in the response voltage not significantly changed compared to the untreated layers. Above all, however, is the adhesiveness of the layers reduced to a particularly large extent, so that no mutual adhesion of the Layers even when staying in the drying cabinet for several days at 70 to 80 ° C in both dry and also enters air saturated with water vapor. This primarily through sodium alginate, but also coating produced by other carbohydrate derivatives in soluble form as described above necessitates an increased usability and long shelf life of those designed according to the invention Registration papers, for example echo sounder, facsimile or other spark registration papers that
