In der so erhaltenen Stellung wird der Markirstift nach und nach auf die verschiedenen Striche der Theilscala gebracht und nach Mafsangabe der durch die Aussparungen O oder P der Platte bestimmten Längen die in Arbeit befindliche Hauptabtheilung durch an die Schreibkante gezogene Striche eingetheilt.
