Die Zwischenschaltung dieses Mittels erfolgt beim Vorgang der Nahtherstellung. Die thermoplastisch beschichteten Ränder dieses verformbaren Mittels und diejenigen der Bestandteile des Kleidungsstückes werden aneinandergelegt, um durch eine Fadennaht und mittels der durch Verschmelzung erzielten zusätzlichen Nahtverbindung vereinigt zu werden.
