Description
Method and arrangement for measuring distances f, ei the known Length measuring technology is used to measure distances (e.g. distances, thicknesses, Diameterj a standard of comparison, a scale or another line standard required. The measurements, in which comparative standards are used, are carried out on comparators, Measuring microscopes, length measuring machines, etc. The scale is generally used in these devices read either directly or with optical or other aids.
It is also known that by means of a diaphragm arrangement, small paths by changing the amount of light passing through via a photoelectric Arrangement are displayed. The diaphragms used in lines or differently shaped can only be shifted by a gap or line width, as a shift in addition, no clear indication of the displacement path is possible any more. In another method, individual markings on a rule or a Graduation moved past a measuring point, scanned photoelectrically and so received pulses are counted. Every error in the division of the scale goes to its fullest Size as an error in the measurement result. A measurement of shorter distances than them the subdivision of the length is not possible here either.
The shortcomings of the previous methods are thereby made according to the invention eliminates the fact that two fine scales with the same division are photoelectrically at the same time are scanned, with a very large number of marks (2000 and more Markings) at the same time to represent an impulse, the consequence of which is the measured value is composed, come to use. By using them at the same time a large number of tick marks or marks are averaged and thus a significant increase in the measurement accuracy, which with an increasing number of used markings grows. The accuracy of the displayed measured value is therefore in the method according to the invention higher than the division accuracy of the individual Line, which was previously decisive for the formation of the measured value. To when reading To simplify subjective errors and the conduct of measurements, it is very much advantageous if the measurement result is clearly indicated by numbers without Tick marks have to be counted and fractions have to be estimated. This is according to the invention by dividing a route to be measured into individual route elements and through Assignment of a pulse to each line element achieved. In doing so, the impulses be generated in a wide variety of ways, e.g. B. to optical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical (inductive, capacitive, magnetic, photoelectric, through contact etc.). These pulses are advantageously counted by an arrangement and by the Counting- read the roll of a counter. The device for counting can be designed in this way be that the counter depending on the direction of displacement of the movable, as a scale serving device forward the pulses used to display the measured values or counts backwards. In this way it is then possible to number the counter in such a way that that every number displayed has a certain position of the movable one that serves as a yardstick Device is assigned.
To make an objective measurement judgment and the displayed measured values To keep a record, a printer is connected to the counter with which the result z. B. is printed on a measurement report.
The route elements mentioned above can be used for fine measurement or fine counting can be subdivided again into individual sections. This individual Sections are either in turn with the device described above counted by means of impulses or indicated by a conventional fine button.
As an example of a device embodying the method according to the invention serve the following arrangement: Two line grids, which are applied to glass panes and have the same lattice constant are arranged in front of a light source in such a way that that the lines of the two grids are parallel to each other. The arrangement is so that one grid is fixed and the other grid with a movable plunger is wounded or is on a measuring slide.
In the initial position, the grids with their lines and columns should be stand exactly one behind the other, so that the amount of light passing through. which are made up of that of the individual lines and columns at the same time generated Composed of light signals, represents the maximum value.
If the measuring ram or the measuring slide with the grid is now moved, this changes the amount of light that passes through the two grids. at white value, then increases again, reaches a maximum value, increases again, reached a maximum value, decreases again to a minimum value, and so on.
This means that from one light minimum to the next light minimum the grid with the measuring plug has covered a very specific distance, which corresponds to the lattice constant. If one now looks at that between the minimum values lying light maximum as a light pulse, one obtains for a certain one when shifting Number of track elements the same number of light pulses.
The impulses must now be picked up, amplified and counted. These processes can take place as follows: The light pulses emitted by the The light source that passes through the two grids is recorded by a photocell and converted into voltage pulses.
These voltage pulses are used to control an amplifier, the drives a number roller mechanism via a motor, which is connected to a printing mechanism is.
