The invention is to provide a balance shaft at with simple installation and low space requirements influences on the Bearing elements due to the deflection of the weight sections are minimized.
These Task is by a mass balance shaft with the features of claim 1 solved.
The Balance shaft according to the invention for one Reciprocating internal combustion engine is characterized in that the Mass balance shaft from each a separate weight section and two bearing elements is assembled and the weight sections angle of rotation stiff and bending angle soft in the bearing elements into each other intervention. In internal combustion engines in four-cylinder in-line construction is a so-called Lanchester compensation for comfort built-in. That it will turn two opposite with double crankshaft speed Mass balance shafts provided, each with respect to the Have axis of rotation eccentric mass distribution. In three-cylinder inline reciprocating internal combustion engines, in internal combustion engines in so-called V6 construction and others to balance mass forces and mass moments a balance shaft with two balance weights provided, which is offset by 180 ° about the axis of rotation and in the longitudinal direction preferably are arranged far apart. Allen balancer shafts is however mean that they are under the influence of eccentric masses at high speeds due to centrifugal forces bend. This bending causes a bearing misalignment in the plain bearings of the mass balance shaft, which by edge wear to increased Wear, oil consumption and ultimately to failure of the plain bearing and thus the mass balance shaft leads. Usually Therefore, a mass balance shaft in both the sliding bearings as well as in the field of balancing masses with much larger dimensions provided as for the rest Function required. By dividing the balance shaft into weight sections and bearing elements, the angle of rotation stiff and bending angle soft to the It is possible the weight sections to minimize in their dimensions as much as necessary for the mass balance function is. A resulting small deflection of the weight sections under the influence of centrifugal forces is caught by the bending angle connection to the bearing elements, so that no bearing misalignments due to these deflections result. A rotation angle stiff connection of the bearing elements to the Weight sections are provided to provide in-phase compensation to allow the crank engine of the internal combustion engine and to ensure the drive of the second weight section. By assembling the mass balance shaft of several Items (weight sections and bearing elements), it is possible, the Mass balance shaft in their individual sections space optimal and still to be mounted yet. This happens because of that the items not pre-assembled as a whole in the engine housing of the internal combustion engine are used, but only during assembly of the internal combustion engine in the case individually inserted and connected. For a roller bearing mass balance shaft the explanations apply analogous.
In An embodiment of the invention is between two weight sections arranged a third bearing element. In a composite construction it is just possible to provide an additional bearing element between two weight sections. Due to the rotation angle stiff and bending angle soft connection between the further bearing element and the adjacent weight sections the bearing element is in no way biased and exposed to high wear. The Both weight sections can in terms of the axis of rotation in the same or opposite effective direction of their ground forces be arranged. Such an arrangement is dependent on the engine design and derive from it derive ground forces and / or mass moments.
In a further embodiment of the invention, a middle bearing elements has a smaller outer diameter than the weight sections. Since the friction in a bearing increases quadratically with the diameter, a mass balance shaft rotates at high speeds and the bearing is loaded only relatively low, it is advantageous if the bearing diameter can be performed as small as possible. This is at a Mass balance shaft according to the invention, which is composed of individual parts, the case in which no consideration must be taken in the choice of the diameter of the middle bearing on the diameter of a weight portion. In a one-piece shaft, which is inserted in a longitudinal direction in a housing, the bearing diameter to be chosen as large as the largest diameter of the shaft. If small bearing diameter at the middle bearing are desired, in this case, a two-piece outer bearing housing (bearing block with screwed bearing cap) to choose, which is associated with increased effort by the fit and screw the two bearing halves. That is, in a separate embodiment of the bearing element and weight section with a small overhead against a plugged one-piece shaft, but a reduced cost compared to a solution with split bearing to achieve a lower friction during operation, while insensitivity of the bearing against bending of the shaft under the Centrifugal force of the mass balance weight at high speeds.
In Another embodiment of the invention are the weight sections arranged by means of a polygonal profile in the bearing elements. The polygonal profile can e.g. a square or hexagonal profile be, but also a so-called two-flat profile, a splined shaft profile or any profile that transmits bending angular soft torques is possible. Especially It is advantageous if the profile is designed such that the weight sections and the bearing elements are assembled in one position only can. This can e.g. done by an asymmetrical profile. At a Version with a hexagonal profile is e.g. the bearing element with a hexagon socket and the weight portion with a mating hexagon profile Mistake. However, it is also a reversed arrangement of indoor and external hexagon profile possible. at a crowned in the axial direction execution of the profiles occurs Deflection or wave misalignment no tilting between the interlocking profiles.
In another embodiment the invention, the shaft end bearing elements are in a separate bearing body in the machine housing stored. By this measure Is it possible, the bearing dimensions of the bearing elements of the load just and for one preferably low friction, without restricting conditions as installation space and mounting option to pay attention. Another advantage of this design is that the machine housing designed simpler and can be made when storing a mass balance shaft not directly in the machine housing, but takes place in a separate storage body.
In Another embodiment of the invention is an outer diameter of the bearing body sized so big that through an associated opening in the machine housing the weight portions of the mass balance shaft are mountable. On this way it is possible the mass balance shaft on the one hand with small bearing diameters equip and at the same time the mounting direction of the mass balance shaft longitudinal to choose. Small bearing diameters offer the advantage of low friction. One Mounting direction of the mass balance shaft in the longitudinal direction allows so-called one-piece bearings, i. it is not an additional bearing cap over one central or repository of mass balance shaft necessary. A such "plug-in or through-shaft "is easy to assemble and requires no elaborate design and manufacturing of the machine housing. The assembly process of such a wave takes place in several steps. After inserting a middle bearing element in a bearing body or directly into the machine housing The weight sections are angularly adjustable in the longitudinal direction inserted in the bearing element. This is done through the openings for the shaft end bearing body, enough in diameter are chosen large. As a last step, the two shaft end bearing body, in the the bearing elements are already mounted, mounted in the machine housing, wherein the bearing elements angle of rotation with the weight sections get connected. The two shaft end bearing elements can in their actual bearing diameter, the storage with the bearing elements the mass balance shaft forms as small as possible to reduce friction in storage. On This way is a friction- and weight-optimized mass balance shaft to disposal which is insensitive to a deflection.
In Another embodiment of the invention, the individual weight sections the mass balance shaft designed as equal parts. Because the mass balance shaft assembled from several weight sections and bearing elements it is particularly advantageous if e.g. the two weight sections a mass balance shaft are designed as equal parts. This will a cheaper one Production of weight sections allows for and confusion avoided during installation. A rotational angle-appropriate and confusion-proof Assembly of the weight sections is by an appropriate design the polygonal profiles of the weight sections and the bearing elements in a simple way possible.
