Description
The invention relates to a device for deriving from a multi-cell electrical Collector leaking acidic gases, in which each cell with its own, a vertical. channel containing closure made of an acid and alkali-resistant Material is provided and the individual closures are connected to one another by a collecting line Connected. For example, batteries with a closure body for the cells made of hard rubber are already available known, in which a vertical nipple with a reinforced head piece made of soft rubber is used is. Vertical arms of a horizontal collecting line are inserted over these nipples. Next to it are also already known devices made of elastic material for discharging the acidic gases, which About reinforced head pieces of the locking pieces for the individual cells, taking advantage of the elasticity of the material are drawn, the degassing channels in the closure pieces as usual vertically are arranged. These known devices have the disadvantage that specially designed closures are required for the cells, which increase the height of the electrical collector, because the acidic Gases are discharged through the head of the closure pieces. In addition, the nipples are the a known device severely exposed to damage while the manifold of the other device, especially at the high operating temperatures that are often required Peel off and thus no longer guarantee a reliable seal. The type of attachment the known devices for discharging acidic gases makes it also for the standardized and collector already in use unsuitable.
Durch die erfindungsgemäße Ausbildung einer Einrichtung zum Ableiten säurehaltiger Gase ergibt sichThe disadvantages outlined are due to the invention in a device for deriving the from a multi-cell electrical collector escaping acidic gases, in which each cell with a own closure containing a vertical channel made of an acid and alkali-resistant material and the individual closures through a collecting line are in connection with each other, solved by the fact that according to the invention within of each closure, which is in the form of a plug or a cap, the vertical Channel merges into a horizontal pipeline and these horizontal channels through intermediate pieces are connected to one another to form a collective discharge. In a further embodiment of the invention Each closure is self-adhesive connected to the vent opening with the electrical collector. The inventive design of a device for discharging acidic gases results

2 g over the known devices the advantage that the prescribed overall height of the collector is not exceeded. In addition, the claimed design has the advantage that the device can be detached more easily. Above all, it is particularly valuable that the claimed type of derivation is readily applicable to the standardized collectors in use.
The invention is explained in an exemplary embodiment with reference to the drawing.
The electrical collector consists of cells 1, 2, 3. The individual cells have closures 4, 5, 6. The closures are designed as caps that are self-adhering to the vent openings with the electrical collector. Each closure has the usual vertical channel, not shown in the drawing, which, however, merges into a horizontal pipe 7 or 8 or 9 within the same. The horizontal channels are connected by intermediate pieces 10, 11 to form a collective discharge line 12. A plug 13 is inserted into the end of the horizontal pipeline of that closure which is opposite the collecting discharge line for sealing purposes.
