Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Darstellung von Pfaden (11) auf einer digitalen Karte in einem Navigationssystem mit einer Positionsbestimmungseinrichtung (2), einer Speichereinrichtung (1) für die digitale Karte und einer Anzeigeeinheit (4) für zumindest Teile der digitalen Karte. Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es, dem Fahrer die wesentlichen Informationen aus einer Straßenkarte so darzustellen, dass er sie innerhalb kurzer Betrachtungszeiträume erfassen kann, ohne dass hierdurch der Vorausschaubereich eingeschränkt wird. Diese Aufgabe wird dadurch gelöst, dass befahrbare Pfade (11) in einem Kartenausschnitt (10), die ausgehend von einer aktuellen Position (13) innerhalb eines festlegbaren Umkreises liegen, bestimmt und optisch hervorgehoben auf der Ausgabeeinheit (4) angezeigt werden.The invention relates to a method for displaying paths (11) on a digital map in a navigation system having a position determining device (2), a memory device (1) for the digital map and a display unit (4) for at least parts of the digital map.
