Es wird ein Kohärenzminderer mit einem Stufenspiegelelement (2) bereitgestellt, wobei das Stufenspiegelelement (2) eine Mehrzahl von im wesentlichen parallel zueinander angeordneten Stäben (6) mit reflektiven Endflächen (8) umfaßt und die reflektiven Endflächen (8) in Längsrichtung der Stäbe (6) zueinander versetzt angeordnet sind.
