Two-line air brake system for vehicle trains with pneumatic
actuated tilting device in the trailer The invention relates to a two-line compressed air brake system
for motor vehicle trains with a first line, which is usual for single-line brakes
Connect the truck brake valve on the truck with the trailer control valve
connects and is under pressure when the brake is not applied and then the auxiliary air reservoir
the trailer air brake system is supplied with compressed air, and a second line,
which is branched off from the pressure line of the compressor and constantly, d. H. even
when the brakes are applied, is under pressure and the auxiliary air reservoir of the trailer air brake system
Supplied with compressed air via a check valve, bypassing the control valve.
It deals, among other things, with the problem of the safe and economic
Operation of a tipping device on the trailer vehicle using compressed air from the
Brake air reservoir without affecting the braking properties.
According to the invention, a compressed air brake system is that described above
Kind of supplied by a compressor that generates a higher pressure than in the braking system
is required, behind the branch of the second line into the pressure line
a pressure reducing valve between the compressor and the brake air reservoir of the motor vehicle
is switched on and a high-pressure storage tank is provided on the trailer,
to which the second line leads via a check valve, while in that of the
Continuing high pressure reservoir to the auxiliary air reservoir of the trailer brake system
second line a pressure reducing valve and a check valve are switched on.
This new training is compared to the previously known air brake systems
this type achieved that the supply air on the trailer with one over the
Operating pressure of the brakes standing pressure can be stored, so that there is a
large air reserve can be accommodated and one to be connected if necessary
Tilting air cylinders can be given smaller dimensions. So even with fluctuating
Pressure losses do not affect the coordination of the brakes of the vehicle train
a further high-pressure tank can be found in the second line on the motor vehicle
and connect an overflow valve downstream of this. This prevents
If the storage volume in the motor vehicle is too small, the trailer brake will take effect unintentionally
is brought. because of the brake air supply in the motor vehicle even on long downhill journeys
not used up faster than in the trailer.
The current training is shown below with reference to the one shown in the drawing
Line plan explained in more detail.
A compressor 1 driven by the engine of a truck delivers
in a known manner via the tire inflation bottle 2 and the pressure regulator 3 compressed air
in a storage container 4. The compressor 1 is used to supply compressed air
an overpressure of about 7 atmospheres. Since the maximum brake pressure is only
is about 5.3 atmospheres, is necessary for the operation of the braking system and the tilting device
from the compressor 1 from behind the pressure regulator 3, the delivery pressure to about
7 atü holds, and turned on in front of the reservoir 4, a pressure limiter 19, the
with the achievement of a pressure of about 5.3 atü in the container 4, the further supply
shut off of compressed air in this container.
A line 26 leads from the reservoir 4 to the brake valve
6, which can be operated in a known manner by the foot brake lever 27 and over
the lines 28 allows compressed air to flow into the brake cylinder 7 of the motor vehicle.
The trailer control line 29 emanating from the brake valve 6 is in a known manner
by a coupling 9 with a shut-off valve 8 to the coupling hose 10 of the control valve
11 connected for the trailer. The line 29, 10 is usually under pressure,
wherein the compressed air tank 14 of the trailer via the control valve 11 in a known manner
is filled. When the brake pedal 27 is actuated, the path of the compressed air is turned off
the container 14 via the brake force regulator 12 to the brake cylinder 13 of the
Trailer
Approved. Between the pressure regulator 3 and the pressure limiter 19 is a line
31 branched off, which leads to a storage container 20. This is via an overflow valve
5 and coupling 16 with shut-off valve 15 connected to a hose line 17 of the trailer,
which leads via a check valve 25 to a storage container 21 of the trailer.
From the container 21, the compressed air can be used to actuate the tilt cylinder 23
a control valve 22 can be removed. The container 21 is also through a pipe
32 with pressure limiter 24 and check valve 18 to the compressed air tank 14 for
the trailer's braking system is connected. It is thus also here during the
Travel and during a braking process via line 17; the reservoir
21 and the line 32 to the compressed air tank 14 for the brake system of the trailer
constantly supplied compressed air, the pressure limiter 24 compliance with the permissible
Maximum pressure guaranteed for the trailer's braking system. The line 17 is up
thus constantly under pressure, and it is also during the operation of the brake pedal
27 always compressed air through this line 27 and the check valve 25 into the compressed air tank
21 of the trailer pressed. This also helps with longer braking distances on downhill slopes
and continuous operation of the brake pedal 27 in quick succession, such as
a sufficient pressure in the compressed air tank is required on mountain roads
14 of the trailer, which always ensures safe braking of the trailer
guaranteed. The control line 10 can also be selected to be relatively weak,
since it is no longer used solely to fill up the container 14. It surrenders
then a smaller volume in the lines 29, 10 and thus a faster response
the trailer's brake, because only small amounts of air need to escape. Included
the brake system is operated with a maximum pressure of about 5.3 atü while for
the tilting device a pressure of 7 atm is available.
