Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method to manufacture a membrane with membrane holes, the diameter in the micro / nanometer range exhibit.
The invention further relates to one according to the inventive method micro / nano membrane to be produced.
Stand der TechnikState of technology
theologischen Eigenschaften solcher Emulsionen nehmen lassen. Für die Maschinen-/Apparatehersteller
sind Membranemulgierverfahren ein neuer Bereich. Herkömmlich werden
Rotor-/Stator Dispergiersysteme und Hochdruckhomogenisatoren zur
Feinemulgierung eingesetzt.
It corresponds to the current status of technology for Membrane processes for the production of emulsion systems ("membrane emulsification") that the resulting size distributions of the droplets generated in the droplet diameters by approx 10-500 fluctuate, d. H. of a narrow drop size distribution, which is technologically he wishes is far away.
B. PP (Polypropylen)-Membranen).Conventionally used for membrane emulsification Membranes are e.g. B. so-called glass and ceramic membranes, which generated by defined sintering of glass / ceramic particles and in the Usually shaped into so-called membrane modules (e.g. hollow cylinders) become. The average pore spacing corresponds to such membranes in the order of magnitude approximately the diameter of the sintered particles. Pore diameter and pore spacing can therefore not independent from each other. The same applies to sintered membranes based on plastics (e.g. PP (polypropylene) membranes).
More recently for emulsification Flat membranes used are e.g. B. from plastics such. B. PTFE (Teflon) or PET (polyetylene). Own PTFE membranes an irregular tissue-like Structure with slit / slit-like Pores. So-called capillary pore membranes are also made from PET Shelling one Foil made with noble gas ions and subsequent etching process. such Pores are circular and the pore diameter is usually very uniform. The Pore spacing can be in this process, however, also do not set in a controlled manner.
For the variety of uses for Emulsion systems is one if possible narrow size distribution the disperse drops desired, to also correlate with the drop size Quality characteristics corresponding Emulsion systems (e.g. release kinetics of content components; Flavors, nutritional components; Demixing / stability properties; Textrur-flow properties) set within narrow limits. The attitude is of particular interest constant drop size, if based on the droplets generated from these microcapsules for food, Pharmaceutical and cosmetic products are manufactured.
Aufgabetask
The invention is based on the object Process for producing a micro / nanomembrane for producing fluid micro / nano drops of a first fluid phase with extremely narrow Large diameter distribution Provide accuracy and also under industrial conditions.
Furthermore, the invention lies based on the task of a micro / nano membrane by the method according to the invention with a defined membrane hole diameter and a defined hole spacing with high precision to accomplish.
Lösung hinsichtlich des VerfahrensSolution regarding of the procedure
This task is performed by each of the sponsors Claims 1 to 10 solved.
Einige VorteileSome advantages
Leave by the method according to the invention micro / nanomembranes with an extremely narrow diameter distribution for the generation of fluid micro / nano drops produce a first fluid phase, the drops thus produced be dispersed in an immiscible second fluid phase can. The according to the inventive method Membranes produced have membrane holes formed as pores defined pore diameter and with precisely defined distances, thereby causing fluid drops to form on the membrane surface Touch of drops that emerge from neighboring membrane holes coexist Let security be avoided. In the method according to the invention both the diameter of the membrane holes and the also the distance between these membrane holes exactly defined and with high precision set.
Die erfindungsgemäße CPDN-(Controlled Pore Distance Nano = kontrollierter Porenabstand (Membranlochabstand) Nanomembran) lassen die Erzeugung von Emulsionsystemen mit dispersen Fluidtropfen im Durchmesserbereich von etwa 100 Nanometern bis zu einigen Mikrometern mit für Membransysteme bislang nicht möglichen extrem kleinen Durchmesserschwankungen von ≤ 5 % bis 10 % zu.Furthermore, by means of a coating according to the invention the inner surface of the pores and, if appropriate also the membrane surface an adjustment of the so called contact angle between membrane surface and droplet surface reached at the membrane hole exit, which is the formation of a spherical Drop contour at the exit from the membrane hole in question or Pore channel supported. Spreading of the resulting drop of fluid on the membrane surface is thus avoided and the detachment same size Fluid drops guaranteed from the membrane surface. The detachment of the fluid drops from the membrane surface takes place through tangential stresses, which are preferred by means of an overflow of Membrane by a second immiscible with the drop fluid Fluid is generated. The CPDN (Controlled Pore Distance Nano = controlled pore spacing (membrane hole spacing, nanomembrane) allow the creation of emulsion systems with disperse fluid drops in the diameter range from about 100 nanometers to a few micrometers with for Membrane systems so far not possible extremely small fluctuations in diameter of ≤ 5% to 10%.
For example, in a first production step, hole patterns defined in metal foils suitable for membrane production can be produced. Etching methods are preferred according to the invention. Laser processes (e.g. X-ray lasers) should also be considered. If a uniform hole size with x max / x min ≤ 1.5 is to be achieved, these processes can be used to achieve minimum hole / pore sizes of approximately 1-2 micrometers. In order to ensure better uniformity of the hole diameter (x max / x min ≤ 1.25), larger diameters of approx. 5 micrometers can be realized using the methods mentioned.
In a second membrane manufacturing step the base membrane is coated using metal vapors (physical Vapor Deposition PVD, Chemical Vapor Deposition CVD or PECVD logo CNRS logo INIST Plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition). With the PVD arc process pure metals or metal alloys are used as targets such as titanium, zirconium, chromium, vanadium, hafnium and more usually for the Production of hard metal layers using transition metals. worked is, for example, in a high vacuum with proportions of nitrogen and / or Acetylene, whereby nitrides, carbonitrides or Carbides of the above metals are deposited. It is it is advantageous if the parts or substrates to be coated have a certain temperature, such as about 200 ° C, so one better adhesion to the surface to create. However, the one to be coated with the substrate or Part of the initial temperature to be set from the material to be coated Partly dependent, and can therefore vary or deviate from the above value. The Initial temperature can be in the system, for example by means of a electric infrared heater, are controlled, as a rule in a range of approx. 80 ° to approx. 500 ° C is possible.
The starting point is an initial vacuum of <10 - preferably from a vacuum of about 2.0 × 10 -6 mbar 5, 6 mbar. During the subsequent coating of the substrate, the vacuum is reduced by letting in nitrogen or acetylene and generally settles in a value range of approx. 10 -2 to 10 -3 mbar. It can be assumed that pure nitrogen, pure acetylene or a mixture of nitrogen and acetylene, metal nitrides, carbides and / or carbonitrides being deposited accordingly.
According to a preferred embodiment variant of the method according to the invention the composition of the gas is changed during the coating, so that itself also changes the composition in the coating during the coating process. According to more preferred execution The coating is usually carried out starting from a nitrogen atmosphere, which means that initially Nitrides are excreted. Carbon now becomes nitrogen embedded in the form of acetylene, which increasingly carbonitrides be deposited in the layer. The carbon content preferably runs increasing linearly, d. H. Acetylene gas is from an initial Concentration in the order of magnitude from approx. 0 - 1 % to approx. 30 - 35 % raised, which corresponds to the proportion of carbonitrides in the coating increases.
In the CVD process (Chemical Vapor Deposition) there is a chemical interaction of the surface to be coated with the components to be separated from the gas phase. The temperatu are generally significantly higher than with the PVD process (800 - 1000 ° C). The deposited layers are more finely structured and have an increased hardness. Coatings typical for the CVD process exist e.g. B. from titanium carbide, titanium nitride or aluminum oxide.
According to the invention, those located on the base membrane surface Basic pores through the building up of deposited metal layers dependent on narrowed as defined by the layer application. The accuracy of this layer thickness application can be controlled in the range of approx. 10 nanometers become. In this way, the basic pores are defined except for minimum diameter of approximately 100 nanometers narrowed. This pore narrowing causes a further enlargement of the Pore spacing.
For precise adjustment of the pore distances the basic pore diameter and spacing and the thickness of the medium Metal layers to be applied PVD / CVD are coordinated with one another according to the invention.

Lösung der Aufgabe betreffend die MembranSolution of Task regarding the membrane
In a micro / nano membrane according to the invention, the membrane holes can have diameters between 0.1 and 5 micrometers. Such micro / nano membranes according to the invention have the special feature that a narrow hole / pore size distribution is realized (x max / x min ≤ 1.5; x = pore diameter) and the distance between the holes / pores is a defined multiple (≥ 2 - 20 x) of the hole / pore diameter.
In addition, the membranes according to the invention with the fluid phases (drop phase, continuous phase) matched Provide coatings that have the largest possible contact angle between the membrane surface and have the drop contour set at the outlet from the pore. This means that spreading effects (= area spread) of the drop fluid on the membrane surface as far as possible be avoided.
In this way, the conventional membrane emulsification process recoalescence of dispersed droplets on the membrane surface is avoided. The fluid to be dispersed is usually pump pressure pushed through the membrane. The overflow on the membrane surface with a fluid effective viscous shear or Reynolds stress cause the efficient replacement the one on the membrane surface emulsion drops formed with a spherical shape.
