Arrangement to prevent gear damage when starting an electromotive
Drive with a large gear ratio. Sometimes working machines are grounded by electric motors
driven by large gear ratios. St) z. B. are in so-called ball mills
regularly large gear ratios between the electric drive motor and the mill
necessary because it runs at an extremely low speed. But is between
an electric motor and the machine it drives one of several gears
If there is an existing gear ratio, the inevitable backlash is added
in the gears. In addition, clutches, in particular
flexible couplings. are present, which in turn have a certain amount of play
to have.
2 an.
An arrangement of this type is shown schematically in the drawing.
An electric motor 1 drives a working machine via the gear pairs 3% 4, 5/6, 7/8
2 on. There are also clutches 9, 10 and 11 on the individual intermediate shafts.
When the .Motor 1 is switched on, the tooth flanks of the gear wheel are first placed
3 against that of the gear 4. Only then does the torque transfer take place via the
Coupling 9 on there., Gear 5. Here, too, a small turn has to be made.
until his teeth are against di ^ de. Place gear 6. The process repeats itself
with every further pair of gears. Only when all the teeth in the individual gear pairs
are directly engaged with each other, the Arbeitsnia #, cliine 2 `i begins to
turn. If the engine 1 starts with full torque, e.g. P. with direct activation,
thus the elimination of the tooth play described above is expressed in the individual
Gear wheels as a more or less violent shock that damages the gear wheels
can lead.

The invention relates to an arrangement for preventing gear damage

Couplings. The disadvantages outlined are avoided according to the invention.
that by means of a drag switch the beginning of the rotation of the working machine shaft

For this purpose, the motor 1 is provided with a starting device 13, only sketched out schematically, which is designed to allow the motor to be started with reduced torque at first. The torque is only increased then when the shaft of the machine 2 starts moving if it is intrinsically motor which is powered by power converters so it's zweckni:... il, iig to take the grid control to help and in this way your engine -a A drag switch 12 is indicated schematically on the shaft of the working machine 2. In the simplest case, it consists of a contact attached to the shaft 2 and connected to it by friction, which simultaneously If the shaft of the machine 2 starts to move, the contact is carried along and after a short distance it comes to rest against a stationary counter-contact kttouch will. a circuit is closed, which acts on the starting device 13 and controls it so that the engine 1 applies the full torque from this moment on. In order to avoid that the moving contact of the drag switch 12 remains in contact with the fixed contact when the work machine is stopped, a spring is expediently provided which then, namely free standstill of the work machine 2, pushes the moving contact back somewhat and thereby opens it. So when the tow switch 12 comes into motion, it is determined that the work machine shaft begins to rotate. The further increase in the speed of the electric motor 1 can then be brought about automatically by this drag switch.
