Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung und ein Verfahren zum Reduzieren des Energieverbrauchs eines Monitors. Die erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung zum Reduzieren des Energieverbrauchs eines Monitors weist auf: eine Steuereinheit (20), die ein Energiesparmodussignal mittels des von einer externen Signalquelle (10) eingegebenen Steuersignals erzeugt; eine mit der Steuereinheit (20) verbundene erste Schalteinheit (40), die die Energie mittels des Energiesparmodusssignals ein- oder ausschaltet, wobei die Energie von dem Energieversorgungsanschluss (30) zu dem Deflektortreiberanschluss geliefert wird; eine zweite Schalteinheit (50), die die von dem Energieversorgungsanschluss (30) zu der Heizeinrichtung gelieferte Energie ein- oder ausschaltet, wobei die Schalteinheit (50) in der gleichen Weise arbeitet wie die erste Schalteinheit (40); und eine zwischen dem Energieversorgungsanschluss (30) und der Heizeinrichtung geschaltete Spannungsabfalleinheit (60), die die von dem Energieversorgungsanschluss (30) an die Heizeinrichtung angelegte Spannung nur dann verringert, wenn die zweite Schalteinheit (50) abgeschaltet ist, und diese Spannung dann an die Heizeinrichtung liefert. Durch Verwendung einer erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung und Anwendung eines erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens zum Reduzieren des Energieverbrauchs eines Monitors können folgende Effekte erzielt werden: Erstens wird, da die Vorrichtung in einem Energiespar-Einmodenbetrieb arbeitet, eine einfache ...
