Die Leuchtmittel 4 sind mit einer Steuereinheit 5 des münzbetätigten Unterhaltungsautomaten 1 verbunden. Die Steuereinheit 5 umfaßt ein Mikrocomputersystem. Hinter einem Sichtfenster 6 der Frontscheibe 2 des münzbetätigten Unterhaltungsautomaten 1 ist eine gewinnsymboldarstellende Symbolspieleinrichtung 7 angeordnet. Von den stillgesetzten Umlaufkörpern der Symbolspieleinrichtung 7 werden Gewinnsymbole im Sichtfenster 6 dargestellt. Den hinter den Sichtfenstern 6 angezeigten Gewinnsymbolkombinationen sind Leuchtmittel zugeordnet. Die Leuchtmittel sind mit der Steuereinheit 5 verbunden. Die Leuchtmittel 4 sind insbesondere als Lumineszenzdioden ausgebildet. Die Leuchtmittel 4 werden seitens der Steuereinheit 5 zur Erzeugung von monochromatischem Licht einzeln oder gleichzeitig derart angesteuert, daß weißes bzw. farbiges Licht emittiert wird. Die leiterartig übereinander angeordneten Anzeigefelder 3 sind mit Gewinnwerten versehen. Die als Lumineszenzdioden ausgebildeten Leuchtmittel 4 werden spielsituations- und gewinnwertspezifisch in vorgegebenen Farbtönen beleuchtet. Jedem Anzeigefeld 3 sind mindestens zwei Lumineszenzdioden zugeordnet. Die Lumineszenzdioden werden von der Steuereinheit 5 aktiviert.
