Abstract

Description

The invention relates to a heel protection for a shoe.

When operating the pedals in motor vehicles, the driver's shoes are subjected to heavy wear due to mechanical stress in the heel area (rear cap). This wear is pronounced to different extents depending on the shoe shape, shoe type, shoe upper material, foot position of the motor vehicle driver and the duration of the stress interval. It leads to damage to the surface material in the area of the heel counter, which increasingly affects the visual appearance of the shoes over time, so that they are ultimately perceived as unwearable.

From the DE 1 683 352 U a heel protection for ski boots is known with a dimensionally stable protective element adapted to the shape of the heel in the form of an attachment component.

From the US 8,141,275 B1 a protective device for a heel of a shoe is known which has a tube section for protecting the heel, which is followed by a section which extends over the heel and is fastened by hooking hooks into the upper of the shoe.

However, these devices are inconvenient to use and slip easily, so that the affected wear zone on the heel counter of the shoe is only insufficiently protected. In addition, there is no universal shape that covers all shoe shapes and types.

There is therefore a need to show ways in which this can be remedied in a simple manner.

The object of the invention is achieved by a heel cap protection for a shoe, with a film cut with an adhesive coating for material connection with a heel cap of the shoe.

The heel cap (also heel cap) of a shoe is understood to mean the section in the direction of gravity that extends from the heel upwards to the slip strap of the shoe and in width at least in sections over the rounded back of the shoe.

The heel cap protection is made by cutting a foil, for example. A film is understood to mean a homogeneous flat structure, e.g. made of plastic or renewable raw materials. Such a plastic film, also known colloquially as plastic film, can have a thickness of 2 µm to 3 mm, e.g. from 70 to 100 µm. It is first manufactured in endless webs, rolled up and later cut into suitable pieces.

The film blank can be designed to be limp and/or deformable by hand. In this case, limp is understood to mean that the foil blank deforms under its own weight, while manually deformable means that manual deformation of the foil blank without the use of tools, i.e. without tools, is easily possible with just your hands. In this way, the foil blank can be positioned particularly easily on a contour of the rear cap of the shoe.

The adhesive coating enables a material connection that does not require additional connection means. In this way, the cut film can be attached to the heel cap of the shoe in a particularly simple manner. In this case, the adhesive coating is designed for the material connection with materials of the shoe 2 such as textile materials and/or leather and/or artificial leather.

According to one embodiment, the cut film is made from a plastic film, in particular an LDPE film, or from a film made from renewable raw materials, in particular grass fibers. LDPE stands for low-density polyethylene. Polyethylene is a semi-crystalline, thermoplastic material produced by the polymerisation of ethene. Thus, the film blank is made of a particularly stretchable and deformable plastic material. Alternatively, the film cut can be made from renewable raw materials, such as grass fibers. The film cut from renewable raw materials can have a detonation point of e.g. 5 minutes. The explosive point is understood as the point in time at which the film cut from renewable raw materials begins to disintegrate.

According to a further embodiment, the adhesive coating has a pressure-sensitive adhesive on the first side. Pressure-sensitive adhesives, also known as permanently tacky adhesives or permanently tacky adhesives, are adhesives which have a more or less pronounced permanent tack at room temperature and form good adhesion to various surfaces under slight pressure. They remain permanently tacky or adhesive in the surface. Thus, the heel cap protection can be designed to be reusable, with a detachment of the heel cap protection from the heel cap of the shoe a damage-free detachment, in particular which can be easily removed manually without the use of tools. Alternatively, the heel cap protection can also be designed for single use, wherein when the heel cap protection is detached from the heel cap of the shoe, damage-free detachment, in particular simple manual detachment without the use of tools, is also possible.

According to a further embodiment, the surface on a second side of the film blank is designed as a sliding surface. The second side of the surface cut opposite the first side of the surface cut is designed as an anti-grip surface, so that the friction of the surface cut with, for example, carpet or rubber mats in the footwell of a motor vehicle is reduced. This prevents the shoe wearer from getting in the way while driving a motor vehicle.

According to a further embodiment, the foil blank has a weakened section which defines a grip area. The weakened area is a section of the film cut, e.g. in the form of a line, which has a reduced thickness compared to the rest of the film cut. It can be formed by a fold, for example. In contrast to the rest of the film blank, the handle area formed in this way can be free of an adhesive coating. The grip area formed in this way facilitates manual detachment of the foil cut from the rear cap of the shoe after use.

According to a further embodiment, the film blank is made from an optically transparent material or a colored material. In this way, the color of the surface material in the area of the rear cap can shine through the cut foil. Thus, the heel cap protection appears almost invisible and does not affect the visual appearance of the shoe. Additionally or alternatively, the foil cut can be colored in such a way that its color corresponds to the color of the surface material in the area of the heel cap, so that the heel cap protection is also hardly perceptible to the eye and thus does not impair the visual appearance of the shoe. Furthermore, the foil blank can only be partially colored from a colored material and/or multicolored with a plurality of different colors. The foil cut can be provided with logos and/or symbols.

According to a further embodiment, the film blank has a basic shape extending on both sides to an axis of symmetry of the surface blank. The axis of symmetry can extend in the direction of gravity. For example, the basic shape can be pentagonal, teardrop-shaped or star-shaped. The film cut thus has a basic shape that is easy to manufacture and at the same time ensures effective protection of the heel cap of a wide variety of shoe shapes and types.

According to a further embodiment, the adhesive coating is covered with a cover film, with the cover film being formed in particular in at least two parts. The cover film can be designed for manual detachment from the film blank. Thus, the foil blank can be temporarily stored alone or in groups in a container until it is used, with the covering foil preventing unwanted sticking to other foil blanks and/or the container. Not mandatory, but in addition the cover film can be formed at least in two parts, so that after removing a first part of the cover film the heel protection can be placed, and after removing a second part of the cover film the heel protection can be bonded to the heel cap of the shoe practically over the entire surface . This makes it even easier to use.

The invention also includes a container with at least one such rear protection and a shoe with such rear protection.

A shoe 2 is shown. In the present exemplary embodiment, the shoe 2 is a pump. In order to ensure protection against damage to the surface material due to heavy wear and tear in the area of the heel cap 6 of the shoe 2, the heel cap 6 of the shoe 2 was provided with a heel cap protection 8, which, as in 2 shown, the rear cap 6 of the shoe 2 extends at least partially in height and in width at least in sections over the rear curve of the shoe 2. The heel protector 8 is a foil blank 10 with an adhesive coating 16 on a first side 28a (see FIG 4 ) of the foil blank 10, with which the foil blank 10 is materially attached to the rear cap 6 of the shoe 2.

The foil cut is made, for example, by cutting a plastic foil to size. In the present exemplary embodiment, it is an LDPE film with a thickness of 70 μm (+/−20%) and with an elongation at break in the range of 200% longitudinally, 200% transversely (+/−20%) and with an optically transparent Education.

Deviating from the present embodiment, the film can be made from renewable raw materials, such as grass fibers.

In the present exemplary embodiment, the film blank 10 is made from an optically transparent material. The first section 24 has an adhesive coating 16 with a pressure-sensitive adhesive on the first side 28a, while the second section 26 is free of such an adhesive coating 16.

Furthermore, in the present exemplary embodiment, a second side 28b (see 4 ) of the film blank 10 is designed as a sliding surface. The second side 28b of the surface blank 10 opposite the first side 28a of the surface blank 10 is designed as an anti-grip surface, so that the friction of the surface blank 10 with, for example, carpet or rubber mats in the footwell of a motor vehicle is reduced.

In the present exemplary embodiment, the following adhesive was used for the adhesive coating 16: acrylate/silicone with an adhesion value in the range from: 1.2 to 2.8 N/cm (stainless steel). Such an adhesive is suitable for single use, but also for repeated use. Furthermore, such an adhesive can be removed very easily and without leaving any residue. Deviating from the present embodiment, the adhesion value can be up to 80 N/cm.

Thus, the rear cap protection 8 is designed to be reusable in the present exemplary embodiment. Alternatively, the heel cap protection 8 can also be designed for single use.

Furthermore, the weakened section 12 defines a grip area 14 which facilitates manual detachment of the foil blank 10 from the rear cap 6 of the shoe 2 after use.

In the present exemplary embodiment, the foil blank 10 has an axis of symmetry S on both sides (see 3 ) of the surface blank 10 extending basic shape. The width with which the surface blank 10 extends on both sides of the axis of symmetry S can extend at least in sections over the rounded back of the shoe 2 .

In the present exemplary embodiment, the foil blank 10 has a drop-shaped basic shape. The film blank 10 in the present exemplary embodiment has a width B of 60 mm, a total height G of 75 mm and a partial height of 35 mm, and an angle W of 60°. Furthermore, in the present exemplary embodiment, the corners E1 are rounded off with a radius of 8 mm and the corners E2 are rounded off with a radius of 10 mm. Deviating from the present exemplary embodiment, the film blank 10 can also have other basic shapes, such as a pentagonal or star-shaped basic shape, and/or have other dimensions.

The adhesive coating 16 is covered with a cover film 18 in the first section 24 . The cover film 18 can be a plastic film and have a thickness in the range from 2 μm to 0.5 mm. Furthermore, the cover film 18 can be designed to be flexible and/or deformable by hand.

In the present exemplary embodiment, the cover film 18 is formed in one piece. Deviating from the present exemplary embodiment, the cover film 18 can also be designed in two parts, for example.

Thus, after removing a first part of the cover film 18, the heel cap protection 10 can be placed and after removing a second part of the cover film 18 the heel cap protection 8 can be cohesively connected to the heel cap 6 of the shoe 2 over practically the entire surface.

There are a plurality of film blanks 10, each provided with a cover film 18, temporarily stored in a container 20, which can be removed individually through a removal opening 22 of the container 20.

The container 20 may be a retail container such as cardboard.

For use, a heel counter 8 is removed from the container 20 and then the cover 18 is removed from the first portion 24 having the adhesive coating 16 by hand.

Then the heel cap protection 8 is attached to the heel cap protection 8 of the shoe 2 by forming a material connection of the adhesive coating 16 with the heel cap 6 of the shoe 2 by hand.

After use, the heel cap protection 8 can be manually detached again from the heel cap 6 of the shoe 2 by means of the grip area 14 without the heel cap 6 of the shoe 2 being damaged.

In this way, the rear cap 6 of the shoe 2 can be protected in a simple manner from severe wear as a result of mechanical stress in the heel area, such as occurs when the pedals in motor vehicles are operated.
