Description
The invention relates to cosmetic compositions, in particular hair compositions, comprising modified polysaccharide and at least one cationic cellulose derivative. The compositions show a surprisingly effective repair of split ends. The compositions can be used for the care of keratin fibers. The invention also relates to a method of repairing split ends comprising applying the hair composition to the hair.
Split ends is a phenomenon that manifests itself in the fact that the hair fibers become porous and individual hairs are split from their ends. Split ends are caused, among other things, by strong mechanical stress on the hair, for example by frequent brushing, combing back or combing against high combing resistance. High combing resistance in dry hair can be caused by damage to the hair surface, static electricity or stickiness due to residues from hairsprays. The risk of split ends is also increased by a weakening of the hair structure, which can be caused by frequent or careless use of chemical treatments, for example with a perm or dyeing.
Accordingly, there has been no lack of attempts to regenerate hair damaged by split ends by applying suitable preparations; H. stop the development of split ends and repair the split ends.
The repair of split ends was previously only possible with so-called hair tip fluids, which have to be used in addition to daily hair care products. It was found that hair tip liquids containing silicone only work until the next hair wash. They weigh down the hair and have to be applied to the ends of the hair in an additional application step.
Earlier attempts were not always completely satisfactory with products that are rinsed off the hair after application (so-called rinse-off products), such as shampoos and hair conditioners / treatments.
The provision of hair compositions which have a beneficial effect on the repair of split ends is therefore a relevant goal in the field of hair cosmetics.
According to the invention, the object is achieved by a hair composition comprising: a) hydroxypropylguarhydroxypropyltrimonium chloride with an average molecular weight in the range from 2,000,000 to 3,500,000 g / mol; and b) and at least one cationic cellulose derivative. The hair composition can take any form; preferably it is a shampoo, conditioner, or treatment.
The compositions disclosed herein surprisingly lead to an increased care performance of hair formulations, in particular with regard to the repair of split ends. It has surprisingly been found that a combination of a guar as defined herein and specific cationic cellulose derivatives as defined herein enables a semi-permanent repair of split ends by using rinsable hair care formulations. The inventive combination also improves wet and dry combability and reduces hair breakage. The compositions comprising the combination can be hair shampoos as well as conditioners or treatments. For the first time, split ends can be repaired semi-permanently using rinse-off formulations; it is not necessary to use an additional anti-split product.
The present invention also provides a method of repairing split ends comprising applying a hair composition as defined herein to the hair.
The present invention further provides the use of a hair composition as defined herein for repairing split ends.

Darüber hinaus wirken kationische Tenside aufgrund ihrer bakteriziden Wirkung, d.h. ihrer bakterienhemmenden Wirkung, in kosmetischen Produkten gleichermaßen konservierend.Cationic surfactants carry a positive charge in their hydrophilic part. This positive charge causes the surfactant molecules to bind to the negatively charged skin and hair surface. In this way, they neutralize the charge, prevent the hair from flying, have a smoothing effect, increase hair shine and make it easier to comb when wet. They are primarily used in conditioners, hair conditioners and treatments, rarely in shampoos. In addition, due to their bactericidal effect, i.e. their bacteria-inhibiting effect, cationic surfactants also have a preservative effect in cosmetic products.

Other cationic polymers obtained from natural sources (in addition to guar), such as a cationic inulin polymer, are also suitable. Inulin is a polysaccharide that belongs to the group of fructans. In addition to a terminal glucose component, it comprises up to 60 fructose monomers in the chain, each of which is linked to one another via β-2,1-glycosidic bonds. Inulin can be obtained from the leaves, roots, fruits and / or flowers of sunflower and / or umbelliferous plants such as Jerusalem artichokes, artichokes and / or parsnips. The invention also relates to a shampoo comprising the hair composition disclosed herein.
The invention also relates to a conditioner comprising the disclosed hair composition. The conditioner is suitable for the care of human hair, especially for use after hair cleansing as a composition that can be left on the hair or can be rinsed off. The hair compositions disclosed herein can also be useful in hair treatments and hair packs.
The terms "without rinsing" and "rinsing off" mean that the composition either remains in the hair for a relatively short period of time, for example for less than a minute if necessary, or for a few minutes or an hour until it is rinsed out again, or that the composition remains in the hair until the next hair wash, which can take a few days. Both have certain advantages. If the composition remains on the hair for a long time, the full care potential of all ingredients can be exploited, while a composition to be rinsed out in a short time can also contain ingredients that have a good care effect, but which would be uncomfortable to stay in the hair for a longer period of time. For the purposes of the present invention, compositions for rinsing are preferred.
