Erfindungsgemäß ist ein Sitz vorgesehen, der zumindest eine Rückenlehne und eine Sitzfläche aufweist, wobei die Rückenlehne schwenkbar an der Sitzfläche angeordnet ist, wobei ein Stützelement vorgesehen ist, das bei einem Schwenken der Rückenlehne in Richtung der Sitzfläche ein partielles Absenken der Sitzfläche bewirkt. Ein Teil der Sitzfläche wird dabei nach unten gedrückt, ein Sitzflächenpolsterelement wird dabei also nicht lediglich komprimiert. Dabei ist das Stützelement derart ausgebildet, dass dieses bei einem Abklappen der Rückenlehne auf die Sitzfläche zunächst infolge von Druck reversibel zusammengedrückt wird und anschließend bei einem Aufklappen der Rückenlehne wieder entspannt. Hierdurch bleibt eine äußere Kontur der Sitzfläche insbesondere bei einem sehr häufigen oder gar dauerhaften Abklappen der Sitzlehne im Wesentlichen erhalten und ist weniger verschleißanfällig. Durch das partielle Absenken der Sitzfläche wird also ein Verschleiß der Sitzfläche reduziert und die Sitzfläche weist zumindest geringere Markierungen, also ungewollt bleibende Deformationen, auf.
