Dry toilet paper is usually offered in the form of a roll wound on a hollow cylindrical core. Some of the known toilet paper dispensers are complex in terms of construction or require additional space for storage, which is often not available.

The invention aims to provide a compact adapter for coupling an object to an existing toilet paper dispenser, which does not require complex changes to the local conditions, and which is also suitable for retrofitting existing toilet paper dispensers.

In addition, the object of the invention is to provide a structurally simple and inexpensive hygiene set that includes an adapter.

General Description of the Invention

With regard to the adapter, this object is achieved according to the invention, based on an adapter of the type mentioned at the outset, in that the support arm is provided with a free end designed as a roller stopper, and that the adapter sleeve has a wall opening in the region of the proximal end for the roller stopper to pass through, and that the connection means is designed as part of a plug connection, a latching or snap connection, a clamp connection, an adhesive connection and/or a rotary connection.

The adapter according to the invention uses the support arm of the toilet paper dispenser and the hollow axis of the toilet paper roll used for coupling the desired object. It therefore does not require structural modifications to conventional toilet paper dispensers and is particularly suitable for simply retrofitting an existing toilet paper dispenser.

The object is, for example, a container for wet wipes, such as wet toilet paper, or a holding arm for a spare roll, or a flat shelf for setting up or putting down objects, such as bottles, tubes, wipes and the like, or a holder such as a mobile phone.

The object is coupled to the toilet paper roll via the adapter sleeve, i.e. in the immediate vicinity of the toilet paper dispenser and where experience has shown that the user expects it or where it is useful.

The variety of shapes for roll stoppers is great. It is characteristic that they form a transverse extension on the support arm. To mount the adapter, the adapter sleeve is pushed into the hollow axle, starting with its distal end, over the roller stopper of the support arm. The adapter sleeve is preferably made of cardboard or plastic and has, for example, an oval, polygonal or, in the simplest case, a round cross section. The outer cross section is adapted to the inner diameter of the hollow axle in such a way that at least the distal end of the adapter sleeve fits into the hollow axle. The inner cross section of the adapter sleeve is in turn designed in such a way that the support arm together with the roller stopper can be pushed through the adapter sleeve at least as far as the proximal end. On the one hand, this means that the distal front end of the adapter sleeve is open and, on the other hand, that the lateral dimensions of the inner cross-section (width and height) are greater than the outer dimensions of the support arm and roller stopper together in the projection onto the cross-sectional plane.

The adapter sleeve is in one piece or is composed of several parts. The proximal end of the adapter sleeve protruding from the hollow axle can have the same cross-section or a different cross-section than the distal end. In the area of the proximal end, the roller stopper is led out through an opening in the wall of the adapter sleeve. The area of exit of the roller stopper (out of the wall opening) is in front of the connecting means (seen in the direction from the distal to the proximal end). In other words, the connecting means generally forms a front end of the adapter sleeve.

This embodiment can be used largely independently of the shape of the existing roll stopper and it retains its original function as a stop for the toilet paper roll. In addition, it also prevents axial displacement and rotation of the adapter sleeve within the hollow axle. The wall opening can be designed so generously that most roll stopper shapes, such as simple bends, fit through. Or, the geometry of the wall opening can be specifically configured for one or more popular roll stopper shapes. The wall opening can be covered with a hood, which accommodates the roll stopper on the inside. This results in a more aesthetically pleasing appearance.

The connection means is an element of a connection to the object to be held. It usually closes off the proximal front end of the adapter sleeve. One and the same connecting means can be suitable for connecting several different objects. The connection is preferably detachable and positive or non-positive.

The connection can be designed as an adhesive connection (magnet, Velcro), snap-in or snap-in connection (plug-in system), as a rotary connection (threaded or bayonet), as a clamp connection or as a connection from a combination of these types of connections, such as those for child safety devices known rotary connectors in which the insertion process or the turning process takes place against a resistance.

The hollow axle can be rotated freely over the adapter sleeve. In a structurally particularly simple embodiment of the adapter according to the invention, the adapter sleeve is essentially cylindrical and has a constant cross section over its entire length, in particular a constant inside diameter and outside diameter. An exception to this is the proximal end of the adapter sleeve, which is designed with a connection means, which can lead to a larger outside diameter in the area of this end.

The proximal front end of the adapter sleeve can be open or closed. A closure at the end contributes to the mechanical stiffening and torsion resistance of the adapter and is therefore preferred. At the same time, the front closure can serve as a planar connection means. For example, in that the closure is designed as a smooth surface and is suitable for a suction button as a counter-connection element. Or by containing a magnet or a magnetizable area and being suitable for a counter-connection element that has a magnetizable area or a magnet.

In the case of connections with at least two connection partners, the connection partners can be rigidly connected to one another or they can be movable in relation to one another, in particular rotatable in relation to one another. The rigid connection is preferred when the object to be held is to be fixed, such as in the case of a flat surface or a holder for a mobile phone. The pivotal connection is preferred when the object to be held is to be pivotally mounted, such as in a container for wet toilet paper.

In a particularly simple embodiment, the connection means is an intensifier ring that protrudes beyond the cylindrical surface of the adapter sleeve as part of a snap-in connection, with the connection partner for this being an elastically deformable annular surface that is slipped over the intensifier ring with slight elastic deformation and then loosely engages behind it, so that forms a circumferential sliding surface between the two rings, which allows a rotary movement between the two connection partners. With this type of connection, the two connection partners can therefore be rotated in opposite directions. The reinforcement ring of the adapter sleeve is non-rotatable as a result of the contact with the roller stopper, and the object provided with the annular surface can be rotated about the longitudinal axis of the adapter sleeve.

With regard to guiding the adapter sleeve as stably as possible within the hollow axle, it is also advantageous if the adapter sleeve extends into the hollow axle over the greatest possible length, ideally over the entire hollow axis length. In one embodiment of the adapter according to the invention, the proximal end of the adapter sleeve that may protrude out of the hollow axle can be at least partially retracted into the hollow axle. This retractability can be advantageous, for example, when no object is mounted on the adapter, or even when the adapter is to be transported within the hollow axle as an accessory to a toilet paper roll. In this embodiment of the adapter according to the invention, the adapter sleeve has a longitudinal section designed as a bellows.

The total length of the adapter sleeve can be shortened or lengthened by the length section designed as a bellows and can thus be adapted to the length of the hollow axle as required.

As a result of the weight, the hollow axle and the adapter sleeve inserted therein rest on the upper side of the support arm, so that the longitudinal axes of the hollow axle, adapter sleeve and support arm ideally run parallel to one another. Depending on the weight of the toilet paper roll or the object mounted using the adapter, the adapter sleeve (and also the hollow axle) may tilt so that its longitudinal axis forms an angle with the support arm and the mounted object tilts downwards at an angle. In order to avoid this, in a further embodiment of the adapter a support element is arranged in the area of the distal end of the adapter sleeve, which rests on the underside of the support arm and on the inner wall of the adapter sleeve.

The support element extends from bottom to top between the inner wall of the adapter sleeve and the underside of the support arm and thus prevents the adapter sleeve from tilting if the toilet paper roll is too light. It is attached to the inner wall of the adapter sleeve - for example glued or attached - and rests on the underside of the support arm. The support element can be a variable in its length - construction part, such as a threaded construction. It is preferably an elastically deformable mass, for example a foam.

With regard to the hygiene set, the above-mentioned technical problem is solved according to the invention, based on a hygiene set of the type mentioned at the outset, in that the adapter sleeve has a wall opening in the region of the proximal end for the passage of a roller stopper, and that a connection means is provided for coupling the object, which is designed as part of a plug connection, a latching or snap connection, a clamp connection, an adhesive connection and/or a rotary connection.

The hygiene set according to the invention comprises an adapter, and this an adapter sleeve either with a connection means for an object to be connected to the adapter. Or the hygiene set includes an adapter that is already integrally connected to the object in advance. In any case, the adapter is intended to position the object in the area of the hollow axle / the winding roll in the immediate vicinity of a toilet paper roll.

In the case of an object to be connected to the adapter, the connection means is at least partially formed on the adapter sleeve or it is attached to it or it is an integral part of the adapter sleeve. The connection to the object to be coupled is preferably detachable and positive or non-positive. It can be designed as an adhesive connection (magnet, Velcro fastener), latching or snap connection (plug-in system), as a clamp connection, as a rotary connection (threaded or bayonet) or from a combination of these types of connection.

In the case of connection types with at least two connection partners, the hygiene set preferably includes both connection partners. One of these is the connection means of the adapter sleeve, and the other connection partner is a counter-connection means which corresponds to the connection means and is used for attachment to the object to be coupled.

Alternatively or in addition to this, the hygiene set also includes the object to be coupled itself. The object can also be an integral part of the adapter, or it is a separate component which is optionally connected or is to be provided with a counter-connection means.

Connection means and corresponding counter-connection means are connection partners of a positive or non-positive connection for coupling and locking the object to be held.

The object is, for example, a container for wet wipes, such as wet toilet paper. This is provided, for example, in a cylinder-shaped container that has a removal opening—preferably closable—that is provided on a cylinder end face and/or on the cylinder jacket surface.

The object can also be a holding arm for a spare roll of toilet paper, a flat shelf for setting up or putting down objects such as bottles, tubes, towels and the like, or a holder such as for a cellular phone.

The adapter uses the support arm of the toilet paper dispenser and the hollow axis of the toilet paper roll inserted in it to attach the object. Because the object is coupled in the immediate vicinity of the toilet paper dispenser, it is available where experience has shown that the user expects it or where it is useful.

In the inner bore of the winding roll 5, an adapter is used, which is assigned the reference numeral 6 overall. The adapter 6 consists of an adapter sleeve 7 and a connecting ring 8a.

The distal end 7b of the adapter sleeve 7 extends over the entire length of the winding roll 5 and ends flush with it. The proximal end 7a protrudes from the winding roll 5 and is provided with a reinforcement in the form of the connecting ring 8a. The face at the proximal end is closed. The wall opening 7c and other details of the adapter sleeve 7 are in 2 to be seen more clearly. The opening 7c for passing through the roll stopper 3 is T-shaped, with the height of the "T" being about 23 mm, the lateral dimension of the T-legs together being about 31 mm and the opening width being about 10 mm. The connection ring 8a has a thickness of 1 mm and protrudes beyond the outer surface of the adapter sleeve in the manner of a flange with an edge that is 1 mm wide and protrudes outwards by about 1 mm.

To mount the adapter 6, the adapter sleeve 7 is pushed with its distal end 7b, starting over the roll stopper 3 of the support arm 2, into the winding roll 5 until the roll stopper 3 protrudes from the opening 7c.
