Description
The invention relates to a method for serving a container and a stacking storage system for serving a container.
Storage systems are known from the prior art in which a large number of containers are automatically managed and moved in a stacking store. For the insertion of parts into a container for the purpose of receiving them in the storage system or for the correspondingly reversed process of picking parts from a container of the storage system, it is provided that the storage system selects the correct container and automatically transports it to a work station. At this work station, a user has access to the container in order to place the part or parts in question in the container or to remove the part or parts from the container. The container is presented to the user in this way.
After the user has carried out the respective process, the container is again automatically moved away from the work station and into the stacking store. A computer in the storage system also manages the allocation of the containers with the respective parts. For a renewed access to the part or the parts in the container it is therefore not necessary for the user to be able to identify the corresponding container. Rather, the relevant part or the relevant parts can be requested directly from the storage system, which then itself determines the container and its position in the storage system and moves it back to the work station.
The objects to be stored in the containers are usually small parts that have smaller dimensions than the container itself. In such cases, the individual containers are in turn divided into different compartments. However, this also means that the storage system can indeed offer the correct container to the user in the work station, but that the user has to select the correct compartment for the order picking process or goods receipt carried out by the user. It is known that the relevant subject is displayed on a screen in the vicinity of the workstation.
However, the screen is regularly arranged in such a way that even if it is in principle visible from the position of the user when reaching into the container, reading the information from the screen requires at least a change in the user's line of sight. This means that there is a certain risk that the compartment information on the screen is forgotten or incorrectly remembered when changing the viewing direction back to the container.
The then likely incorrect selection of the wrong compartment is not easy to determine for the storage system. The type of storage of the containers also makes a subsequent inspection very cumbersome, so that an incorrect compartment selection can regularly only be discovered again when exactly this compartment is requested again. Even in those cases in which the incorrect subject selection can be discovered earlier by means of a corresponding security mechanism, time losses and thus additional costs arise.
Against this background, the object of the invention is to provide an improved method for serving a container and an improved stack storage system for serving a container, which enable a user to more reliably identify a special compartment in a container that has been tendered. The term “delivery of a container” is to be understood here and below as the entire process in which the container is selected in the stacking store, transported to the work station and positioned there in such a way that it is available to the user. A possible return transport of the container to the stacking store is also included in the delivery.
This object is achieved by a method for serving a container with the features of
What is essential for the invention is the knowledge that a segmented light arrangement at the work station, which frames the recess in the work station for access to the container, is particularly suitable for reliable identification of a compartment in the container. A lighting arrangement placed in this way is not only comparatively simple in its construction and therefore less prone to failure, it is also always in the user's field of vision while he is placing or placing parts in the compartment. The risk of incorrectly identifying a subject is thus reduced to a minimum.
The proposed method is used to serve a container, a selection container being selected from a plurality of containers which are managed in an automated stacking storage system and stored in a stacking storage facility and automatically moved from the stacking storage facility to a work station. The stack storage system preferably comprises the stack storage facility and / or the plurality of containers.
In the proposed method, the workstation has a housing for receiving the selection container and a recess, which recess essentially corresponds in its dimensions to an opening in the selection container, the selection container being automatically positioned in the housing of the workstation in such a way that the opening is aligned with the recess. In this way it is possible for the user to reach through the recess into the opening and thus into the container. As a result, objects can be placed in or removed from the container. The selection container is simply the selected container, and this can in principle be any container of the plurality of containers.
In the proposed method, the selection container is further subdivided into a number of container compartments, the work station having a plurality of light segments for displaying one of the plurality of container compartments, the light segments being arranged circumferentially around the recess. The number of container compartments into which the selection container is divided is basically arbitrary. This number of container compartments is referred to here as the number of compartments. In principle, the way in which the subdivision is implemented is also arbitrary. The selection container preferably has dividing inserts for subdividing into the plurality of container compartments. It may be that all of the other containers of the plurality of containers are also subdivided, it also being possible for some other or all of the other containers of the plurality of containers not to be subdivided.
In the proposed method, at least one container compartment of the plurality of container compartments is determined and those light segments are activated for lighting that indicate the specific at least one container compartment. In other words, the specific at least one container compartment is displayed by lighting up special lighting segments which are activated to cause lighting.
In principle, each container of the plurality of containers can be subdivided into a different number of compartments. It is preferred that all of the containers of the plurality of containers are divided into the same number of container compartments.
A preferred embodiment of the proposed method is characterized in that a storage computer system of the stacking storage system controls transport devices for moving the plurality of containers from the stacking storage to the workstation and from the workstation to the stacking storage. The transport devices can basically be designed as desired. The stack storage system preferably comprises the transport devices.
In principle, the light segments can be controlled by any device or any computer system. A preferred embodiment of the proposed method is characterized in that the work station has a processor device which controls the light segments. This processor device can be a complete personal computer as well as a microcontroller with, in contrast, a smaller range of functions. It is preferred that the processor device is arranged in the housing.
Another preferred embodiment of the proposed method is characterized in that at least some containers of the plurality of containers are divided into a respective number of compartments. A management computer system preferably carries out an association between a multiplicity of inventory objects and the container compartments of at least some containers. The inventory objects can be objects that have been placed in the multitude of containers. Preferably, all of the containers of the plurality of containers are divided into a respective number of compartments. It may be that the management computer system is the warehouse computer system. However, it can also be the case that the management computer system is different from the warehouse computer system.
A preferred embodiment of the proposed method is characterized in that the selection container is selected according to selection information. Preferably the warehouse computer system receives the selection information. In particular, it can be that the storage computer system selects the selection container. The selection information can be of any type. In particular, the selection information can consist of a single number, a single digit sequence or a single sequence of alphanumeric characters. The selection information then forms the direct or indirect basis for the selection of the selection container. On the one hand, the selection information may be entered by a user. However, it can also be that the selection information is generated by a computer system, in particular by the administration computer system.
In principle, it can be that the selection information already specifies an inventory object, that the selection information is received by the warehouse computer system, that the warehouse computer system selects a container compartment and the selection container with this container compartment based on the specified inventory object. An assignment maintained by the warehouse computer system would then thus allow a certain inventory object to be requested as part of the selection information.
However, it is preferred that object information which specifies an inventory object is entered by a user and that the selection information is generated based on the object information and the assignment. Here it is further preferred that the object information is received from the management computer system and that the selection information is generated by the management computer system. In this way, the management of the objects in the containers can be separated from the management of the containers in the stacking store.
As described above, the management computer system can use its assignment to generate the selection information from the object information and thus initiate the selection of the correct container from the stacking store. The assignment also allows the management computer system to determine the correct container compartment by the assignment of the object information. However, the warehouse computer system may not “know” the division of the containers into container compartments. It is therefore sensible to control the light segments by the administration computer system while bypassing the storage computer system. A preferred embodiment of the proposed method is characterized in that the at least one container compartment is determined based on the object information and the assignment, specifically preferably by the administration computer system.
In particular, it can be that the management computer system initiates the activation of the light segments. In particular, it can be the case here that the management computer system sends a control message to the processor device to control the light segments for the display of the specific at least one container compartment.
After the storage computer system has received the selection information, the storage computer system then transports the container it has determined - which is also selected as the selection container in this way - to the work station.
In principle, the light segments can be arranged circumferentially around the cutout in various ways. According to a further embodiment of the proposed method, it is provided that the luminous segments are arranged essentially along an edge of the recess. In this way, the light segments are particularly close to the opening of the container.
In principle, there can also be gaps between the light segments. A preferred embodiment of the proposed method is characterized in that the luminous segments are arranged essentially closed along the edge of the recess.
In principle, the recess can have any shape. Another preferred embodiment of the proposed method is characterized in that the recess is essentially rectangular.
According to a preferred embodiment of the proposed method, it is provided that the luminous segments subdivide a first edge side of the recess into essentially uniform first edge sections. The number of first edge sections is basically arbitrary. There are preferably a plurality of first edge sections. In relation to the plane of the recess, the first edge side can be a vertical edge side. It is further preferred that the division of the first edge side into first edge sections corresponds to a division of the selected container into the container compartments along the first edge section.
According to a further preferred embodiment of the proposed method, it is provided that the luminous segments subdivide a second edge side of the recess into essentially uniform second edge sections. The number of second edge sections is basically arbitrary. There are preferably a plurality of second edge sections. In relation to the plane of the recess, the second edge side can be a horizontal edge side. It is preferred that the first edge side runs essentially at right angles to the second edge side. It is also preferred that the division of the second edge side into second edge sections corresponds to a division of the selected container into the container compartments along the second edge section.
A preferred embodiment of the proposed method is characterized in that a first luminous segment of a first edge section and a second luminous segment of a second edge section are activated to display the specific at least one container compartment and that the first edge section and the second edge section correspond to a position of the specific at least one container compartment .
In principle, the light segments can be of any type. Another preferred embodiment of the proposed method is characterized in that the light segments comprise light emitting diodes.
According to a preferred embodiment of the proposed method, it is provided that additional information on a content of the specific at least one container compartment is displayed on a display device of the work station arranged in a plane of the light segments. The plane of the luminous segments is the imaginary plane that is spanned by the luminous segments.
According to a further preferred embodiment of the proposed method it is provided that the housing has a frame and a cover having the recess, that the cover rests on the frame in a floating manner and that the workstation has a warning switch which is actuated when the cover is adjusted relative to the frame will. This ensures that there is no injury if the user of the workstation reaches into the recess when the container is missing. If, in this situation, a container should be transported into the housing, the user's hand is not trapped, but only the lid is moved. The warning switch is also activated, whereupon a fault signal or a standstill signal can be output.
The proposed stacking storage system serves to serve a container, the stacking storage system being set up to manage a large number of containers in an automated manner and to store them in a stacking store of the stacking storage system.
The proposed stacking storage system is set up to select a selection container and to move it automatically from the stacking storage to a workstation of the stacking storage system, the workstation having a housing for receiving the selection container and a recess, the dimensions of which recess essentially correspond to an opening of the selection container.
Furthermore, the proposed stacking storage system is set up to automatically position the selection container in the housing in such a way that the opening is aligned with the recess, the selection container being divided into a number of container compartments, the workstation having a plurality of light segments to display one of the plurality of container compartments of container compartments, wherein the light segments are arranged circumferentially around the recess.
Furthermore, the proposed stacking storage system is set up to determine at least one container compartment of the plurality of container compartments and to control those luminous segments for lighting which indicate the at least one specific container compartment.
Preferred embodiments, features and properties of the proposed method correspond to those of the proposed stack storage system and vice versa.
