Description
The present disclosure generally relates to a lighting device. In particular, the present disclosure relates to a lighting device with integrated control and a lighting system based thereon.
An object of the embodiments of the present disclosure is to provide a controllable lighting device that is easy to manufacture.
To solve this problem, a lighting device is provided according to a first aspect. The lighting device comprises an LED light source, wherein the LED light source has a first LED strand for generating a first light, in particular a first white light, with a first color temperature CCT1 and a second LED strand for generating a second light, in particular a second white light, with a second color temperature CCT2 that is different from the first color temperature CC1. The lighting device can be designed in particular as a light source, lamp and/or as a light.
The lighting device further comprises control electronics with a controllable LED driver for driving the LED light source. The control electronics comprise a switch, which can in particular have at least two switch positions, for switching between the first LED string and the second LED string, so that depending on the switch position either the first LED string or the second LED string is activated or deactivated.
Serienwiderstand, aufweist. The lighting device further comprises a third LED string for generating a third LED light, in particular a third white light, with a third color temperature CCT3 that is different from the first color temperature CCT1 and the second color temperature CCT2, wherein the third LED string can be driven by the LED driver independently of the switch position, and wherein at least one of the LED strings has at least one passive electrical component, in particular at least one electrical resistor or series resistor.
The activation of the third LED string therefore does not depend on the switch setting or switch position, so that the third string is always activated when the lighting device is started up. Consequently, the lighting of the lighting device is contributed to by the third LED string and by the first LED string or by the second LED string, depending on the switch position. Due to the differences between the lights generated by the first LED string and the second LED string, the operating modes of the lighting device or the light characteristics, in particular CCT, of the light generated by the lighting device can be easily influenced by switching the switch between the first LED string and the second LED string.
The third LED string can in particular be connected in parallel to the first LED string or to the second LED string. The parallel connection of the third LED string to the first LED string or to the second LED string means that, based on intrinsic differences between the electrical characteristics of the LEDs in different LED strings, the relative utilization of individual LED strings to one another depends on the current level of electrical power or voltage supplied by the LED driver. In particular, when dimming down or up the lighting device, not only the luminous flux of the light generated by the lighting device can be influenced, but also its color temperature.
This provides a simple tunable white light source without having to drive the individual LED strings separately, especially through separate power circuits.
The control unit can be designed to detect an actuation of a switching device, in particular a switching device provided for switching on or supplying power to the lighting device, and to switch the switch based on the detected actuation of the switching device. In particular, the control electronics can comprise a switch controller for controlling the switch, wherein the switch controller is designed to detect an actuation of the switching device and to switch the switch based on the detected actuation of the switching device. In particular, the control unit or the switch controller can be designed such that the switch can be switched or a change from one operating mode to another operating mode can take place by switching the switching device off and then switching it back on again within a predefined time. It is therefore easy to switch between the operating modes of the lighting device using an external switch.
The control electronics can also be designed to detect a confirmation of a switching device designed as a light switch and to switch the switch based on the detected actuation. The switching on and off processes or a sequence of switching on and off processes of the light switch can be used as commands for the power electronics to switch the switch and in this simple way to switch the lighting device from one operating mode to another operating mode.
The control electronics can also be designed to detect a confirmation of a switching device designed as a dimmer, in particular as a phase-cut dimmer, and to switch the switch based on the detected actuation of the dimmer. Conventional, in particular pre-installed, dimmers can thus be used to control the operating mode of the lighting device.
In particular, the LED driver can be designed as a so-called dimmable LED driver, so that the lighting device can be dimmed up or down via the LED driver using a switching device designed as a dimmer, in particular as a phase-cut dimmer.
Due to the change in the relative utilization of the active LED strings when dimming the lighting device up or down, the color temperature of the light generated by the lighting device is also influenced, so that a combined luminous flux and color temperature effect or Flux&CCT dim effect is achieved.
The first LED string can be designed to generate a cold white light with a CCT1 in the range from 3500 K to 6500 K, in particular from 5500 K to 6500 K, the second LED string can be designed to generate a cold white light with a CCT2 in the range from 2700 K to 5000 K, in particular from 2700 K to 3700 K, and the third LED string can be designed to generate a warm white light with a CCT3 in the range from 1500 K to 3000 K, in particular from 1800 K to 2300 K. The color temperatures can be achieved by a suitable selection of LEDs. In particular, the third LED string can comprise at least one warm white LED and the first LED string or the second LED string can comprise at least one cold white LED.
Due to the differences in color temperature and the intrinsic differences or asymmetry between the LEDs of different LED strings, when dimming down or reducing the output voltage of the driver, the load on individual LED strings will change in such a way that a kind of glow-dimming effect is achieved. The color temperature of the light produced by the lighting device decreases as the light intensity decreases, creating a pleasant light bulb effect.
The LED strings or the control electronics can be designed in such a way that the maximum luminous flux Phiv_max1 of the light generated by the first LED string or the maximum luminous flux Phiv_max2 of the light generated by the second LED string is higher than the maximum luminous flux Phiv_max3 of the light generated by the third LED string. In particular, the maximum luminous fluxes Phiv_max1, Phiv_max2 and Phiv_max3 generated by the LED strings can have the following relationship to one another: Phiv_max31 ≥ Phiv_max2 > Phiv_max3, in particular Phiv_max1 > Phiv_max2 > 3*Phiv_max3. Due to these relationships between the maximum luminous fluxes of the different LED strings, the glow dimming effect can be combined, in particular at low luminous fluxes, with a high light output, in particular at high luminous fluxes.
In some embodiments, the lighting device has at least one controller for separately controlling at least one of the LED strings. By separately controlling the LED strings, in particular the third LED string, the lighting behavior of the lighting device or the glow-dimming effect described above can be actively influenced.
The controller may have a feedback input for detecting a feedback signal and may be configured to control the third LED string based on the feedback signal from the first LED string or from the second LED string. Due to the feedback signal, the third LED string can be controlled taking into account the load of the first or second LED string, so that the lighting behavior of the lighting device or the glow-dimming effect can be controlled more precisely.
At least one of the LED strings can have at least one passive electrical component, in particular at least one electrical resistor or series resistor. By connecting passive electrical components, in particular resistors or series resistors, differences in the electrical characteristics of the LED strings, for example due to different forward voltages of different LEDs, can be partially compensated or even amplified, so that the lighting behavior or light characteristics of the lighting device are influenced in a targeted manner.
In further embodiments, the lighting device, in particular the control electronics of the lighting device, can have an interface for wireless communication, via which the lighting device can be controlled wirelessly. The lighting device can be controlled wirelessly, for example with a control unit or remote control, via the wireless communication interface.
According to a second aspect, a lighting system is provided. The lighting system comprises a lighting device according to the first aspect and a switching device, in particular for starting up or supplying power to the lighting device, wherein the control electronics are designed to detect an actuation of a switching device and to switch the switch based on the detected actuation of the switching device. It is thus possible to switch between the operating modes of the lighting device in a simple manner using an external switch.
The switching device can be designed as a dimmer, in particular as a phase-cut dimmer, and the control electronics can be designed to detect an actuation of the dimmer, in particular a switching on or off process and/or a dimming up or dimming down process, and to control the LED strands of the lighting device accordingly.
The dimmer can have a communication interface for wireless communication and be designed to be controlled by a control signal or multiple control signals from a control device via the communication interface. In particular, the control unit can have a standardized communication interface, in particular according to one of the standard protocols, such as ZigBee®, WiFi® or BLE®, so that the lighting device can be remotely controlled using a standard protocol. In particular, the dimmer can be designed to be controlled using a mobile application of a mobile control device, e.g. smartphone or tablet. The application or mobile application can in particular be configured to send control signals to the communication interface of the dimmer, which cause the dimmer to control the lighting device accordingly. The lighting device can thus be easily controlled using a mobile device.
The lighting device can be designed as a light source, lamp or luminaire, so that the lighting system can be implemented in different configurations as required.
The control unit or the mobile application can be configured so that the control signal for the dimmer control is time-dependent, date-dependent and/or location-dependent, in particular so that when the dimmer is controlled, an HCL or HCL-like operation of the lighting device is achieved, whereby the brightness or the luminous flux and the CCT of the light generated by the lighting device follows the natural course of the day, in particular based on the circadian rhythm. The circadian flux-CCT curves can, for example, be stored as location- and date-dependent curves in the memory of the control unit or can be retrieved from the cloud.
The lighting system can further comprise a sensor system, for example a sensor system implemented in the control unit, with one or more light sensors for determining a current daylight level or the amount of daylight currently present in the environment, wherein the control unit can be configured to control the light generated by the lighting device based on the current daylight level. By adjusting the light generated by the lighting device according to the daylight level, the operation of the lighting device can be optimized such that an appropriate brightness is achieved overall, in particular by the light generated by the lighting device and the daylight together. In this way, unnecessary energy consumption in the lighting system can be avoided.
The lighting system may further comprise a motion sensor for detecting the presence of a person and the sensor interface may be designed to receive motion sensor data, wherein the control unit is designed to control the lighting device based on the motion sensor data. The operation of the lighting device can thus be made dependent on whether people are in the area to be illuminated, which in particular can further increase the energy efficiency of the lighting system.

The
The
The differences, in particular intrinsic differences, in electrical characteristics, such as impedance, forward voltages, etc. of the
In other embodiments, one or more resistors, in particular series resistors, and/or other passive electronic components can be connected in one or
For example, the
By flipping the
The
Dabei erfasst der Controller 6 eine Betätigung, insbesondere aufeinanderfolgende ON/OFF-Ereignisse an dem Dimmer 7 und legt den Schalter 5 ggf. um.Switching between the two dependency curves 20 and 30 can be done by switching between the first LED string and the second LED string using the
The
The
The two
In comparison to the
In the
The remote-controlled
The
