Description

The present invention relates to a hatch for a motor vehicle, in particular a tailgate or front hatch, having a handle, a method for opening and closing a hatch of a motor vehicle, and a motor vehicle with a hatch.

Motor vehicles usually have flaps which cover and close a trunk or engine compartment arranged below or behind the flaps. Especially in sporty motor vehicles, the flaps are often not equipped with expansive and easily grippable handles, since such handles do not fit easily into the precisely balanced and optimized aerodynamics of a sports car.

It is therefore common practice in sporty motor vehicles to have the flaps lifted a little by a mechanism in order to open them, so that a user can grasp the flap and lift it. Closing the flap typically requires the user to press firmly directly on the flap so that the flap latches in a closed position. Everyday use of the motor vehicle means that the flaps, like all other external body parts, become dirty. In autumn and winter in particular, gripping around the flap becomes a problem and inevitably leads to dirty fingers on the part of the user. But even when the flaps are clean, it takes a great deal of effort to reach for the opening and forcefully to close the flaps. It is not immediately apparent to the user whether he is gripping or pressing the flap at the right point. This uncertainty fuels the user's concern of causing dents or scratches by handling the flap incorrectly or too vigorously.

From the pamphlet DE 39 15 737 A1 an opening mechanism for a flap of a motor vehicle is known, in which a handle part is transferred from a concealed storage position to a use position for opening.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a flap that does not have the disadvantages of the prior art described, but instead can be easily integrated into the aerodynamics of the motor vehicle and still offers the user a simple way of opening and closing the flap.

This object is achieved by a flap according to claim 1.

The flap according to the invention makes it possible to provide the user with a handle for opening and closing the flap, which completely disappears from the outside of the flap when it is not used to open or close the flap. Because the handle is not visible from the outside in its storage position and is covered by the flap, it has no influence whatsoever on the aerodynamics of the flap.

A flap, in particular a tailgate or front flap, within the meaning of the present invention can be, for example, a trunk flap or an engine hood.

Advantageous configurations and developments of the invention can be found in the subclaims and the description with reference to the drawings.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the flap has a lock that can be moved between a locking position and an unlocked position for locking the flap, the lock having means for transferring the handle from the storage position to the locked position to the use position to the unlocked position . It is thus advantageously possible to move the handle to the use position directly by unlocking the flap and to move the handle to the storage position by locking the flap. This avoids unnecessary operating steps and at the same time the handle in the use position serves as a clearly recognizable indicator that the flap is unlocked.

According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the handle is a tongue and can be displaced along a main extension direction of the tongue for transferring from the storage position to the use position, the tongue preferably being supported by the means for transferring the handle from the Storage position can be moved to the use position. This enables a user to grip the handle comfortably and securely. A tongue within the meaning of the present invention is an elongate component. The rotation represents a very natural movement sequence and leads to a very comfortable and intuitive operation of the flap.

According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the handle is covered by a trademark of the flap in the storage position, the trademark preferably being arranged within a further trademark in relation to its main plane of extension. This makes it possible in an advantageous manner to insert the handle very skillfully into the flap. Borders of the trademark can advantageously be used as an opening for the handle to be pushed through or rotated through. This means that no further interventions in the structure of the flap are necessary.

According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the handle in the use position is arranged so as to protrude beyond the trademark along the main plane of extent of the flap. In this way, an easily accessible arrangement of the handle in the use position is ensured in an advantageous manner.

According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the trademark is rotatably mounted about an axis of rotation, the trademark being rotatable about the axis of rotation from a closed position to an unfolded position for transferring the handle from the storage position to the use position . A simple transfer of the handle from the storage position to the use position is thus possible. The rotation of the trademark frees up sufficient space so that the handle can be arranged in the use position so that it is comfortable and safe to grip.

According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the axis of rotation is arranged orthogonally to the axis of rotation. The arrangement of the axes enables the trademark to be rotated in such a way that there is a particularly large amount of space for arranging the handle in the position of use.

According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the axis of rotation has a directional component perpendicular to the main plane of extent of the flap. This causes the handle to be turned out to the side, which makes the flap very user-friendly and intuitive to operate.

According to the invention, the handle is moved parallel to the main extension plane of the flap when transferring from the storage position to the use position, so that the handle in the use position protrudes beyond the extent of the flap in the storage position parallel to the main extension plane of the flap. It is thus advantageously possible for the handle to be moved towards the user when being transferred from the storage position to the use position. The user does not have to reach as far in the direction of the center of the vehicle and can open and close the flap on the handle very ergonomically.

According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the handle has handle elements that can be displaced in a fan-like manner relative to one another in order to rotate about the axis of rotation. This enables a large gripping surface in the use position with at the same time very low demands on the available space in the storage position.
