Abstract

The invention relates to an item of clothing, in particular rain protection clothing, with a hood, an upper part for the upper body and the arms and a lower part for the lower body. Description

The invention relates to an item of clothing, in particular rain protection clothing, with a hood, an upper part for the upper body and the arms and a lower part for the lower body. The length of the upper part can be adjusted by at least one length adjustment device. Articles of clothing, in particular rain protection clothing, are already known in various forms. Rain ponchos, for example, are pulled over the head and offer protection for the upper body and head. However, only inadequate protection for the arms and legs. Furthermore, a rain poncho generally plays around the wearer's body very generously. However, the excess material is perceived by many wearers as a nuisance, as it offers a large area of attack in the wind. Furthermore, the excess material can also represent a source of danger, especially when moving, for example on a bicycle, since the poncho can get caught in the spokes of the wheels.

Also known are rain protection overalls that take the typical posture of a cyclist into account by having an additional supply of fabric in the back area of the overalls, which is suitable both to take into account the curved posture of a cyclist and also offers enough space to take a rucksack under the rain overalls ( AT 14 225 U1 ). However, the feet are not covered by the rain overall and are therefore exposed to external influences without protection. If it rains heavily or continuously or if you wear footwear that is unsuitable for rain, such as cloth shoes or open-toe shoes, you must therefore expect your feet to get wet. Furthermore, the physique of each wearer of the rainwear is different. The items of clothing known from the prior art are each available in a specific size. For wearers whose physique is smaller than the size of the item of clothing, there is an excess of material which many users of such an item of clothing find annoying.

In addition to the lack of comfort, the rain protection clothing known from the prior art offer few features to increase safety in road traffic. Especially when it rains, the view of all participants in road traffic is often severely restricted by little light, heavy rain or spray that is thrown up by vehicles. The items of clothing known from the prior art have reflectors which, when illuminated by an external light source, such as car lighting, reflect the light and thus increase the visibility of the wearer. However, if the wearer of such an item of clothing is outside the light cone of a light source, the reflectors of the item of clothing are ineffective.

Rain protection clothing is used by cyclists, who sometimes move at a very high speed in traffic, especially since bicycles with electric drives have become more and more popular. In the event of a fall, the items of clothing that are known from the prior art do not offer any protection. They only provide protection against rain.

Today, a wearer wants rain protection clothing to provide as complete protection as possible against external influences, at the same time as being as comfortable as possible and being extremely safe in road traffic.

The object of the present invention is therefore to eliminate the disadvantages of the prior art and to provide an item of clothing, in particular rain protection clothing, which protects as completely as possible from external influences and at the same time offers high wearing comfort and additional safety in traffic.

Detailed description

The subject matter of the invention is an item of clothing, in particular rain protection clothing, with a hood, an upper part for the upper body and the arms and a lower part for the lower body. The hood of the garment is cut so that it can be pulled over a helmet. Furthermore, the cut shape of the item of clothing takes into account the special requirements of a cyclist, so the item of clothing has a stock of fabric in the back that is suitable for leaving enough space for the wearer's body to assume the typical stooped posture when cycling. Furthermore, the item of clothing is suitable for transporting a rucksack under the item of clothing. A sectional shape that meets these requirements is already known from the prior art and can be found in the utility model, for example AT 14 225 U1 can be removed. The item of clothing according to the invention is closed by means of a zipper.

The item of clothing according to the invention can preferably have two cut shapes, one cut shape having a fit for women and one cut shape having a fit for men. Both cuts can be made in all known sizes. In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the item of clothing can have the clothing sizes S / M and L / XL.

In one embodiment of the invention, the individual cut parts are sewn together. After sewing, the seams are also taped over so that the perforation that has been created by the sewing is sealed.

In another embodiment of the invention, the cut parts are connected by means of ultrasonic welding, whereby the connection seams are both connected and sealed against water in one operation.

On the back of the hood, the item of clothing according to the invention has, in one embodiment, an elastic band with a stopper in order to adapt the circumference of the hood to the size of the wearer's head. In one embodiment of the item of clothing according to the invention, a drawstring runs in a tunnel around the face cutout of the hood. The drawstring ends below the wearer's chin on either side and has two stoppers. By adjusting the stoppers, the size of the face cutout can be adapted to the needs of the wearer. The hood is individually adapted to the head of the wearer, lies well on the head and does not obstruct the wearer's view.

In a further embodiment, the item of clothing according to the invention has an elastic band with a stopper on the back of the lower part at waist level, by means of which the circumference of the waist can be adapted to the waist circumference of the wearer.

Furthermore, the item of clothing according to the invention has an integrated pocket, which serves both as a normal insert pocket, e.g. for a handkerchief, and also holds the folded item of clothing when it is folded out. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the integrated pocket has two straps. In this embodiment there is a length-adjustable strap on each side of the integrated pocket. The ends of the length-adjustable belts can be closed by means of a locking device. The straps can be attached to the integrated bag either permanently or detachably. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the straps are detachably attached to the bag by suitable fastening means. Suitable fastening means can be, for example, snap fasteners, buttons or straps. If the straps are firmly attached to the bag, they are sewn, riveted or welded to the integrated bag.

The length of the belts can easily be adjusted via the belt guide on the locking device; this type of length adjustment of belts is known from the prior art. Suitable locking devices for closing the ends of the belts are known from the prior art and are, for example, a click lock, a belt buckle or other locking buckles. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the locking device for closing the ends of the straps is a click lock.

The straps or just a strap can serve as a carrier for the bag. Thanks to the adjustable strap, the integrated bag together with the item of clothing it contains can also be attached to a means of transport such as a bicycle, and the strap with the closure means is also suitable for carrying the integrated bag with the item of clothing inside as a belt pouch.

In a further embodiment of the invention, the bag has exactly one strap, which is designed as a closed loop with a width adjustment. One end of the strap is attached to one side of the integrated bag. The strap can be both detachable and firmly connected to the bag. Suitable fastening means have already been described for the embodiment of the integrated pocket with two straps. Such a loop with a width adjustment is known, for example, from bicycle messenger bags.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the integrated pocket also has an eyelet. With the aid of a suitable connecting means, such as a carabiner, the integrated bag, together with the item of clothing contained therein, can be attached to a suitable object. For example, the bag together with the item of clothing located in it can be attached to a backpack, a bag or a belt with a carabiner.

In one embodiment, the integrated pocket and the further small pocket furthermore have a suitable closure means in order to close the pockets when the item of clothing is located therein. Such a suitable closure means is, for example, a zip fastener, one or more buttons, one or more magnetic buttons or a lacing. The use of a zip fastener as the closure means is preferred.

Furthermore, the item of clothing has at least one length adjustment device, by means of which the length of the upper part can be adjusted. The at least one length adjustment device is preferably located on the front of the upper part.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the item of clothing has two, four or six length adjustment devices, preferably two or four length adjustment devices, particularly preferably exactly two length adjustment devices. The length adjustment devices are preferably attached in equal numbers on each side of the front side of the upper part of the item of clothing. The two sides of the front of the upper part are created by the separation by the zipper in the front area, that is, on the front of the upper part, there are an equal number of length adjustment devices on each side of the zipper that closes the upper part.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a rubber band is used as the length adjustment device. The rubber band runs in a tunnel attached to the upper part, which runs from the shoulder area towards the hips and is fixed on at least one side of the tunnel. The tunnel is preferably made of the same material as the upper part of the item of clothing. The tunnel has an opening at one of its ends through which the elastic band is accessible. At this point the rubber band has a so-called stopper. The opening is preferably located at the lower end of the tunnel, i.e. the end that is closer to the hip. By moving the stopper on the rubber band, the material of the upper part is gathered over a defined length. Since a length adjustment device is located on both sides of the upper part, the length of the upper part of the item of clothing can be adjusted variably and the item of clothing can thus be optimally adapted to the body structure of the wearer. The length adjustment device therefore shortens the length of the upper part of the item of clothing, specifically by a maximum of approximately the length of the tunnel attached. Especially for wearers of the item of clothing whose upper body is shorter than the maximum length of the upper part of the item of clothing, this adjustment option ensures a high level of comfort. By shortening the upper part, the fit of the entire item of clothing is improved, because at the same time the hip part of the item of clothing is brought to the correct height for the wearer. This prevents the item of clothing from hanging down in a bag-like manner, which hinders walking.

Furthermore, the item of clothing according to the invention has a rainproof shoe protection for each shoe. The shoe protection has the shape of a shoe and is open towards the sole. It is pulled over the shoe from above over the open side of the sole and releasably fixed to the heel by suitable means. Suitable means for fixing can, for example, be Velcro fasteners, buttons, two straps or two straps with a stopper. The shoe protection is preferably pulled over the shoe and has half a sole in front and behind. The width adjustment at the level of the upper hem and the heel is made by elastic cords with stoppers.

The shoe protection can be releasably connected to the item of clothing or not connected.

In one embodiment, the shoe protection is detachably connected to the item of clothing at at least one point. The shoe protection is preferably connected on the inside of the respective trouser leg to part of the hem of the respective trouser leg. Detachable connections can be for example laces, Velcro connections or buttons.

In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the shoe protection is not connected to the item of clothing.

In a preferred variant, the shoe protection is transported in the integrated pocket, which also holds the item of clothing. For this purpose, a smaller pocket is placed on the front of the integrated pocket, which holds both shoe protection parts.

The item of clothing according to the invention can be worn both as an overall, as a rain jacket and as a raincoat. The lower part of the item of clothing has closure means which are attached in such a way that the lower part can be closed in the form of two trouser legs or in the form of a jacket. Suitable closure means are, in particular, water-repellent or water-tight zippers. All zippers can be opened and closed in two directions. In one embodiment, the zip fastener is additionally protected from rain by a flap in the closed state. The cut shape of the item of clothing provides a wedge-like shape customary for trouser cuts in the crotch area of the item of clothing. This cut enables two trouser legs to be created when the closure means of the lower part are closed enclosing the respective legs. If the lower part is worn in the form of a jacket, the wedge-like projection that has arisen is pressed inwards and thus covered.

Subsequently to the upper end of the closure means of the lower part at the front, a closure means, in particular a water-repellent or waterproof zipper, is attached, which runs along the front edges of the upper part from the waist line to the neck level and closes the upper part. In one embodiment, the zip fastener is additionally protected from splash water by a flap in the closed state.

The item of clothing according to the invention has several closure means on the inside at waist height. Counterparts to these closure means are located on the inside of the lower end of the lower part. If the lower part is now closed in the middle at the rear to form a coat, the lower end of the lower part can be folded up inwards towards the waist and is fastened there with the closure means. In this form, the item of clothing according to the invention can be worn as a rain jacket.

Suitable closure means include buttons, snap fasteners or magnetic buttons. The use of snap fasteners is particularly preferred.

In one embodiment of the invention, as already described, the lower part is closed at the rear in the middle to form a jacket. The garment thus forms a raincoat. Since all zippers can be opened in two directions, it is possible to close the lower zipper and leave a slit open to allow walking.

In one embodiment, the item of clothing according to the invention has devices for width adjustment on the sleeves and trouser legs. Suitable devices can be buttons, snap fasteners or magnetic buttons.

The material from which the item of clothing according to the invention is made has a 2.5-layer laminate, 3-layer laminate, polyurethane (PU) -coated polyester, soft shell 3-layer material made of nylon, beeswax-coated cotton, polyurethane (PU ) coated polyamide (PA), TPU, recycled polyethersulfone (PES), proportionally ALU, elastane, polyurethane (PU) coated nylon or 2-layer laminate with inner lining in different grammages.

The material of which the item of clothing is made has a grammage of 50 to 200 g / m ² , preferably 50 to 100 g / m ² , particularly preferably 75 g / m ² .

Also preferred is the material from which the item of clothing is made, water-repellent up to 20,000 mm water column (measured according to ISO 811).

2-layer laminates are waterproof, windproof and breathable functional fabrics that are mainly used for rainwear. The fabric consists of a membrane and an outer fabric that are laminated together. In order to protect the membrane against abrasion and damage, 2-layer laminates are generally provided with an inner lining.

2.5-layer laminates are well-known laminates in the field of ultra-light rainwear, which can be packed up minimally and are reliably rainproof. In addition to an outer fabric and a membrane, the 2.5-layer laminate has a thin protective layer printed on the inside. This protective layer protects the membrane from abrasion and wear. Suitable 2.5-layer laminates are known to the person skilled in the art.

3-layer laminates are also known in the field of rainwear, for example under the term “hard shell”. The laminate consists of three layers of outer fabric, membrane and lining, which are laminated to form a thin fabric. 3-layer laminates are very stable due to their structure and at the same time small in pack size. Due to their high stability, they also offer greater protection against abrasion than 2.5-layer laminates and are used, for example, for backpacks.

In a particularly preferred embodiment, the material from which the item of clothing is made has an extremely light 3-layer laminate with high abrasion values, good breathing properties and environmentally friendly production.

In one embodiment of the invention, the material of which the item of clothing is made additionally has fibers made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE fibers). The use of the fibers increases the robustness of the garment and leads to greater safety for the wearer. In the event of a fall on asphalt, for example, the wearer's skin is protected from abrasions by the item of clothing.

In a preferred embodiment of the item of clothing according to the invention, the upper part and the lower part of the item of clothing are made of the same material.

In a further embodiment of the item of clothing, the upper part consists of a different material than the lower part. In one embodiment, the upper part of the item of clothing consists of a stronger material than the lower part, for example the upper part consists of a 2.5-layer laminate and the lower part consists of a 3-layer laminate. If the lower part is made of a thinner material than the upper part, wearing the item of clothing according to the invention as a rain jacket becomes more comfortable because a comparatively thin layer of fabric is folded upwards and surrounds the legs in a jacket-like manner. At the same time, the stronger material of the upper part can offer increased protection in the event of a fall.

In one embodiment of the invention, the item of clothing has active lighting. The lighting can be attached to the rear part of the hood and / or to the front part of the hood and / or to the sleeves and / or to the legs and / or to the part of the upper part which covers the upper body. Active lighting is preferably attached to the upper body in the chest and / or back area and / or shoulder area.

In one embodiment of the invention, the lighting is attached in the form of lighting elements at various points on the item of clothing. For example, one lighting element each on the sleeves of the item of clothing and / or on the trouser legs of the item of clothing. The lighting elements can all be switched on and off together or switched on and off independently of one another.

Visibility is often severely restricted, especially in rainy weather. Active lighting in the item of clothing according to the invention increases the visibility of the wearer for other road users and thus greatly reduces the risk of accidents. The lighting is therefore primarily attached in areas of the item of clothing that can be easily seen by other road users. Corresponding lighting can be, for example, optical fibers, embroidered LEDs or flexible substrates with integrated LEDs or controllers that are operated via a central removable battery. The battery is housed in a convenient place, for example in a pocket provided for this purpose, and is therefore easily accessible so that it can be charged if necessary. It is also possible to feed the electronics using a mobile phone that is carried along. Such lighting has the advantage that it actively emits a light signal and not, as for example reflectors rely on, to be illuminated by an external light source. According to the invention, the item of clothing can also have a signal transmitter that emits an acoustic signal, e.g. B. in the form of a horn. Operation can then take place, for example, via a button on the sleeve of the item of clothing.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the signal transmitter is a blinker or a rear light. The signal transmitter can then be operated, for example, via a button on the sleeve of the item of clothing.

In addition to increased safety for the user, the item of clothing according to the invention also contributes to increased comfort.

In a further embodiment of the invention, the item of clothing has at least one heating pad in the back area and / or in the shoulder area and / or on the upper arms. A suitable heating pad is made of textile and is sewn into the item of clothing. The at least one heating pad is operated by a removable battery. In a further embodiment of the invention, the item of clothing has a reinforced visor in the hood. Thanks to the reinforced visor, the item of clothing offers additional protection from wind and precipitation in the face area and thus increases wearing comfort. At the same time, the reinforced visor also contributes to better vision, since rain is kept away from the wearer's eyes or possibly glasses. This in turn leads to greater safety for the wearer in road traffic.

In a further embodiment of the invention, the item of clothing has at least one ventilation slot on a sleeve and / or a leg and / or in the back part of the upper part. This leads to good ventilation of the item of clothing and thus reduces the sweating of the wearer in the item of clothing at warmer temperatures and when moving heavily. In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the item of clothing has a ventilation slot on the back part of the upper part. In a further embodiment of the invention, the item of clothing according to the invention has wrist cuffs with thumb holes. These cuffs are preferably made of jersey material and attached to the inside of the sleeve. The cuffs are covered by the sleeves of the garment and at the same time protected from moisture. This embodiment has the advantage that the sleeves of the item of clothing are prevented from sliding up on the arms, for example by extending the arms towards a handlebar. In one embodiment of the invention, control devices for signal transmitters or lighting devices for the item of clothing can be attached to the cuffs.

The garment according to the invention is suitable for many uses due to its design. Due to its optimal fit and high resistance to rain, the item of clothing according to the invention is also suitable for outdoor sports such as hiking. Furthermore, the item of clothing is also suitable for gardening or as work clothing.
