Tätowierungen erfreuen sich spätestens seit 1990er Jahren größerer Beliebtheit in westlichen Gesellschaften. Der Anteil der tätowierten an der deutschen Bevölkerung nimmt zu. In Deutschland tragen ca. 20 % der Erwachsenen eine Tätowierung (Stand: April 2018). Auch der Anteil der tätowierten Frauen und älteren Menschen steigt. 2017 war rund die Hälfte aller Frauen zwischen 25 und 34 Jahren tätowiert. Die Tätowierung geschieht durch Nadelstiche in die Haut, wobei gleichzeitig mit dem Durchstechen ein Farbmittel in die Haut eingebracht wird. Dabei sollen die Farbstoffe in die mittlere Hautschicht (Dermis) im Zelltyp der Fibroblasten eingelagert werden. Zu diesem Zwecke wird es üblicherweise einmal täglich auf die betroffene Tätowierung aufgetragen und vermindert so das Risiko für das spätere Auftreten von Entzündungen und Reizungen. Als Pflegemittel werden insbesondere Decyloleate, Octyldodecanol, Caprylic/ Capric Triglyceride, Hydrogenated Lecithin und Ähnliche verwendet. Insbesondere kann eine als „SLM 2026“ bekannte Zusammensetzung verwendet werden. Auch Glycerin ist ein üblicher Bestandteil der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzung.

Von besonderer Wichtigkeit sind spezielle Sphingolipide, die als Ceramide bezeichnet werden. Die bereits oben genannte Zusammensetzung SLM 2026 enthält Ceramid NP.
Der pH-Wert der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzung wird in bevorzugter Weise durch einen Puffer, bevorzugt durch einen Citronensäurepuffer eingestellt.
Die erfindungsgemäße Zusammensetzung kann durch Variieren der Komponenten als Creme oder Lotion formuliert werden.Cetyl alcohol and sodium lauroyl sarcosinate in particular are used as viscosity regulators. Die mittels der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzung gebildeten O-W-Emulsionen wären auch unmittelbar verwendbar, sind jedoch insbesondere zum Aufschäumen geeignet und bestimmt. Sie können in handelsübliche Druckbehälter abgefüllt und mit Treibgasen (z.B. Propan-Butan) beaufschlagt werden. Die Verwendung als Schaum ergibt eine besonders gleichmäßige, nahezu berührungsfreie Auftragung auf die Haut. Gerade bei frischen Tattoos wird von Betroffenen der Schaumauftrag als besonders angenehm empfunden. Besonders bevorzugte Zusammensetzungen sind in den nachfolgenden Tabellen 1 bis 2 offenbart.
Die Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Emulsionen erfolgt auf die übliche Weise. Hierzu wird zunächst eine Wasserphase und eine Ölphase gebildet. Die Ölphase wird üblicherweise auf 30 - 50°Grad Celsius erwärmt und homogenisiert. Unter Verwendung eines Hochgeschwindigkeitsrührers wird die Wasserphase eingerührt. Die Wasserphase hat üblicherweise eine Temperatur von 20 bis 30 Grad. Bei Umdrehungszahlen von 2000 bis 6000 Umdrehungen/Minute wird die Phasenumkehr eingeleitet und die erfindungsgemäße Emulsion gebildet. Optional kann anschließend der Zusatz von Treibmitteln vorgenommen werden (siehe oben). Die Wasserphase enthält üblicherweise neben dem Wasser, dem Sorbitol und Glycerin noch Natriumlauroylsarcosinat, sowie den Puffer.
Die Ölphase enthält insbesondere Decyloleat, Octyldodecanol, Cetylalkohol sowie die Emulgatoren.
Beispielhaft werden einige Zusammensetzungen in den nachfolgenden Tabellen offenbart, ohne dass diese eine Beschränkung darstellen sollen. Der Fachmann auf dem Gebiet kann zahlreiche Variationen und Weiterentwicklungen vornehmen, ohne erfinderisch tätig werden zu müssen.
