Description
The invention relates to a device for the continuous heating (in particular preheating) of a pressed material mat, in particular in the course of the (continuous) production of wood-based panels, with a continuous furnace which has a continuous chamber through which the pressed material mat can be passed on a conveyor belt and can be subjected to microwaves. For this purpose, the device has one or more microwave generators, the rays of which, for. B. can be coupled into the flow chamber via waveguides. An inlet tunnel (input choke) and / or an outlet tunnel (outlet choke) can be connected to the flow chamber on the input side, through which the pressed material mat can preferably also be passed on the conveyor belt, so that the (endlessly rotating) conveyor belt usually ( uniform) through the inlet chamber, the flow chamber and the outlet chamber.
Pressed mat means in the context of the invention preferably a mat or material web made of (glued) particles, for. B. chips or fibers, preferably wood chips or wood fibers, for the production of wood-based panels. The particles, e.g. B. wood chips or wood fibers, usually sprinkled with a spreader on a belt conveyor or the like to form a press mat and the press mat thus produced then passes through a press, in particular a continuously operating press, the z. B. can be designed as a double belt press. The material to be pressed is pressed in the press using pressure and / or heat to form a board or a strand of boards, in particular a wood-based board (for example chipboard or fiberboard). With a fiberboard, it can e.g. B. is an MDF board (Medium Densified Fiber). To optimize the pressing process, the material to be pressed or the material to be pressed is preheated with the aid of a material preheating device of the type mentioned at the outset, which is designed as a continuous microwave oven or has such a continuous microwave oven. The pressed material mat is consequently preheated with the aid of microwave radiation. According to the invention, microwave radiation means electromagnetic radiation in a frequency range from 100 MHz to 300 GHz, preferably 300 MHz to 100 GHz. Conventional microwave radiation with a frequency of 900 to 950, e.g. B. about 915 MHz or a frequency of 2.4 to 2.5 GHz, e.g. B. used at 2.45 GHz. The microwave radiation is in one or more microwave generators, for. B. magnetrons, and preferably radiated or coupled into the interior of the flow chamber via waveguides.

Starting from the known prior art, the invention is based on the technical problem of creating a device for the continuous heating of a press mat of the type described in the introduction, in which electrostatic charges on the conveyor belt or the press material transported on the conveyor belt are avoided in a very simple manner .
To achieve this object, the invention teaches in a generic device of the type described in the introduction that the conveyor belt is guided, at least in sections, in a floating manner supported on a gas cushion or gas cushion. According to the invention consequently, at least in sections, a pneumatic support of the conveyor belt, for. B. with compressed air.
The invention is based on the knowledge that electrostatic charges can be avoided particularly reliably if direct contact and thus mechanical friction between the conveyor belt and a supporting plate arranged underneath is reduced or preferably completely avoided. The support of the conveyor belt loaded with the pressed material mat consequently does not take place mechanically according to the invention via an inside the continuous furnace arranged support plate, but pneumatically via at least one gas cushion, which is preferably designed as an air cushion or air cushion. The conveyor belt is consequently guided in the flow chamber by means of supporting air and in this way direct contact with mechanical components of the furnace is avoided or largely reduced.
The conveyor belt is preferably guided so that it hovers on the gas cushion over essentially the entire length of the flow chamber without mechanical support. It can consequently be a mechanical support, e.g. B. a plate, a bar or a roll or the like can be provided and at the exit or in the area of the exit of the flow chamber can also be a mechanical support, for. B. a plate, a bar or a roll. Between these mechanically supporting elements, the conveyor belt is preferably guided in the flow chamber without mechanical support, floating only on the gas cushion, so that charges caused by friction are avoided within the flow furnace. A floating guide without mechanical support over substantially the entire length preferably means a guide without mechanical support over at least 80%, preferably at least 90%, particularly preferably over at least 95% of the length of the flow chamber. A floating guide without mechanical support over essentially the entire length of the flow chamber can be realized both with a flow chamber with a single cavity and with a flow chamber which consists of several individual cavities arranged one behind the other in the direction of flow, and then also over the entire length of the several single cavities existing flow chamber can be worked without mechanical support. Alternatively, however, there is also the possibility that the conveyor belt is guided within each individual cavity in a manner that hovers over substantially the entire length of the individual cavity without mechanical support, in which case mechanical support can optionally be provided between the individual cavities.
In a preferred embodiment, an inlet tunnel is connected to the flow chamber on the inlet side and an outlet tunnel on the outlet side. Such an inlet tunnel or outlet tunnel generally has a lower height than the flow chamber and the outlet tunnel generally has a lower height than the flow chamber. The flow chamber forms the actual furnace in which the mat is exposed to microwave radiation, that is, in this chamber the radiation from the generators is z. B. coupled via waveguide and / or antennas. Inlet tunnels and outlet tunnels (without additional coupling) serve in particular to reduce the emission of microwave radiation from the oven and consequently to improve occupational safety. Because within the inlet tunnel, the microwave radiation that basically enters from the flow chamber into the inlet tunnel can e.g. B. reflected by renewed reflection on the mat and thus absorbed in the mat. The same applies to the exit tunnel. Optionally or additionally, filter elements and / or absorbers can be arranged within the inlet tunnel and / or within the outlet tunnel in order to prevent microwave radiation from escaping from the inlet tunnel or outlet tunnel. The design of a continuous furnace with such an inlet tunnel and an outlet tunnel is fundamentally known from the prior art, they form part of the continuous furnace and in particular form a structural unit together with the continuous chamber. The conveyor belt on which the pressed material mat is guided through the pass-through chamber generally extends uniformly through the inlet tunnel, the exit tunnel and the pass-through chamber, so that the pressed material mat is guided through the entire continuous furnace (including the exit tunnel and inlet tunnel) on a uniform conveyor belt. In such an embodiment, the invention preferably proposes that the conveyor belt (also) be guided in a floating manner supported on a gas cushion within the entrance tunnel and / or within the exit tunnel. The conveyor belt is particularly preferably guided so that it hovers on the gas cushion over essentially the entire length of the inlet tunnel and / or essentially the entire length of the outlet tunnel. It is therefore possible that only at the inlet of the inlet tunnel and at the end of the inlet tunnel or at the transition to the flow chamber and then again at the transition to the outlet tunnel and at the end of the outlet tunnel support elements, for. B. support plates, support beams or support rollers are provided, so that only a locally very limited mechanical support and in between a floating guide is always provided by means of gas cushions. If the flow chamber consists of several individual cavities, it is optionally possible to provide at least one support element in an intermediate area between two individual cavities arranged one behind the other.
In one possible embodiment, the conveyor belt is guided in a floating manner through the entire continuous furnace, that is to say the inlet tunnel, the continuous chamber and the outlet tunnel, without mechanical support. This is e.g. B. can be realized in that mechanical support elements, for example only at the inlet of the inlet tunnel and at the outlet of the outlet tunnel. B. support plates, Support beams or support rollers are provided and that only support by means of gas cushions takes place within the continuous furnace (including the inlet and outlet chamber).
The support of the conveyor belt by means of a gas cushion or a plurality of gas cushions is preferably carried out with at least one nozzle device arranged below the conveyor belt, which has one or more outlet openings through which the conveyor belt on the underside actively with gas, for. B. is pressurized with compressed air. Consequently, at least one nozzle device for actively generating the gas cushion is arranged in or on the flow chamber. In such a nozzle device, it can be, for. B. is a nozzle plate or the nozzle device can be designed as a nozzle plate. Such a nozzle plate has e.g. B. a plurality of outlet openings, which are distributed over the length and width of the nozzle plate. It can e.g. B. is a nozzle plate which has a plurality of rows of a plurality of outlet openings along the transport direction of the direction of passage, the outlet openings being distributed over the width of the conveyor belt in each row, so that a matrix of outlet openings is provided overall. The arrangement can also be provided in an irregular distribution. The nozzle plate can also have a plurality of slot-shaped outlet openings arranged one behind the other, each of which extends along the width. The nozzle plate can extend over part of the width of the conveyor belt or over the entire width of the conveyor belt. Furthermore, the nozzle plate can extend over the entire length of the flow chamber. However, it may also be sufficient if the nozzle plate extends only over a partial area of the length of the nozzle chamber in order to generate support in this partial area, provided that, for. B. mechanical supports are provided at the entrance of the flow chamber and at the exit of the flow chamber. In this respect, it is not necessary for the nozzle device itself to extend right up to the mechanical supports.
In an alternative embodiment, the nozzle device can have one or more nozzle bars which extend transversely to the transport direction, each nozzle bar having at least one (slit-shaped) outlet opening extending transversely to the transport direction or a plurality of outlet openings arranged next to one another. In this case, a plurality of nozzle bars are preferably provided one behind the other in the transport direction and spaced apart in the transport direction. These nozzle bars can e.g. B. distributed over the length of the flow chamber in the flow chamber.
The nozzle device can e.g. B. be integrated in the housing bottom of the flow chamber or form this housing bottom. In this respect, e.g. B. a housing bottom of the flow chamber can be designed with corresponding air nozzles. Alternatively, a separate nozzle device can also be arranged within the flow chamber, which, for. B. is arranged above the floor.
Incidentally, all explanations regarding the configuration of the nozzle device relate not only to the flow chamber, but equally to the optionally provided inlet tunnel and the optionally provided outlet tunnel. The described nozzle devices can also be provided in these tunnels in the same way.
The conveyor belt itself is preferably made of a material transparent to microwaves, e.g. B. made of plastic. If inside the oven or on the oven, e.g. B. within the flow chamber and / or within the inlet tunnel and outlet tunnel additional support elements, for. B. rolls, plates, beams or the like are provided, they are preferably also made of a transparent material for microwaves, for. B. made of plastic. Due to the additionally provided pneumatic support or floating guide, these mechanical elements can, however, be made very short along the transport direction, so that only slight friction effects occur.
In particular, if the mechanical support elements are not arranged completely outside the continuous furnace, it is usually advisable to manufacture them from a material that is transparent to the microwaves, e.g. B. made of plastic. So z. B. plastic plates, plastic beams or plastic rollers may be provided, such rollers are preferably rotatably mounted to minimize friction.
If the nozzle devices are arranged within the flow chamber, it is expedient to also manufacture them from a material which is transparent to the microwaves, e.g. B. made of plastic.
The invention also relates to a method for the continuous heating of a pressed material mat, in particular in the course of the manufacture of wood-based panels, with a device of the type described. The pressed material mat is guided through the passage chamber on a conveyor belt and subjected to microwaves and thereby heated. This method is characterized in that the conveyor belt is guided in a floating manner supported on a gas cushion within the flow chamber. This method can be used with the different variants of the implement the device described, so that the pressed material mat z. B. on the conveyor belt also first through the inlet tunnel, then through the pass-through chamber and then through the outlet tunnel, preferably in a floating manner on one or more gas cushions. The conveyor belt is particularly preferably guided in a floating manner without mechanical support through the flow chamber and / or particularly preferably completely through the inlet tunnel, flow chamber and outlet chamber without mechanical support.
Finally, the invention also relates to a plant for the production of panels, in particular for the production of wood-based panels, with a device for continuous heating of the type described. This preheating device is a press, for. B. downstream of a continuously operating press, in which the press mat using pressure and / or heat to form a plate, for. B. is pressed to a wood-based panel. Such a press is preferably designed as a continuously operating double belt press.
