Description
The invention relates to a method for routing traffic lanes and markers for routing traffic lanes.
Traffic flows with vehicles that are guided in tracks are used in reducing lanes, e.g. As at construction sites or at the end of highways or highways often jammed or it comes to accidents because vehicles switch to tracks that are supposedly not affected by the reduction of the tracks.
It is therefore an object of the invention to propose a safe solution for reducing the number of lanes in multi-lane traffic flows.
This object is achieved by a method according to claim 1 and by a marking according to claim 5.
The invention relates to a method for routing a traffic lane in tracks, wherein in the traffic flow vehicles in X tracks are guided, which are reduced to at least X-1 lanes. Typical are traffic flows that are guided in one direction in two or three lanes, for example, on highways or highways. According to the invention, according to a first alternative, an average lane for the vehicles is closed in the event of an at least three-lane traffic flow. The vehicles arrange themselves from the middle lane on one of the two laterally adjacent lanes and the two laterally adjacent lanes are continued as remaining lanes. In this way, all three tracks are identically charged identically; any incentive to change lanes is excluded. The two outer tracks are equally loaded. This avoids both traffic jams and accidents.
In a second alternative, in the case of an at least three-lane traffic flow, the track to be reduced is divided into two lanes in a first step. Thus, four tracks are created in a three-lane traffic flow, ie X + 1 lanes in an X-lane traffic flow. Subsequently, in a second step, a blocking surface is created between the two newly created tracks. In front of the blocking area or in the area of the blocking area, the existing and the newly created tracks are brought together in a third step in such a way that in each case a newly created and an existing track adjacent to the newly created track are brought together as X-1 remaining tracks. In a fourth step, the merged tracks are respectively guided past one side of the blocking surface and then optionally continued in parallel. This ensures a fast and secure merging of X tracks on X-1 tracks. The tracks can then be swiveled.
In the case of a two-lane traffic flow, according to a third alternative according to the invention, the vehicles of both lanes are brought together on equal terms to a remaining, middle lane to be set up. Here too, equal lanes avoid unnecessary lane changes and thus accidents and traffic jams.
According to a preferred embodiment, the merged, remaining track or the remaining tracks are pivoted, for example to guide the traffic flow around a construction site. If there are two remaining tracks, these are pivoted towards each other and then continue to run parallel. For a remaining track, it can be swiveled to one side from the middle between the two original tracks.
If necessary, the reduction by one track from X to X-1 tracks can be repeated several times in succession, e.g. From three to two tracks in a first step and two to one track in a second step.
According to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, before the start of reducing one or more lanes, the speed for the traffic flow is reduced and increased again during or after reducing a lane. For example, the speed prior to the start of the marker may be used to reduce at least one track from unrestricted or higher limited speed to, for example. B. 50 km / h are limited. After eliminating the at least one track, the speed on z. B. 80 km / h or the speed limit can be completely eliminated. In this way, the speed is reduced before the lane change, so that the risk of changing lanes is minimized. After or during the lane change, the speed can be increased again in order to avoid a traffic jam.
- - The remaining lane is single lane with 80 km / h maximum speed: With originally two lanes these must be limited to 40 km / h, so that the vehicles can pass the narrowing to a lane without delay. With originally three lanes, these have to be reduced to approx. 27 km / h, rounded to 30 km / h (80 km / h / 3 lanes). For originally 4 lanes, these have to be reduced to 20 km / h (80 km / h / 4 lanes).
- - The remaining lane is two lanes with 80 km / h maximum speed: The calculated maximum speed is 160 km / h (2 lanes of 80 km / h added). For originally 3 lanes, these have to be reduced to 53 km / h, rounded to 50 km / h (160 km / h / 3 lanes). For originally four lanes, these have to be reduced to 40 km / h (160 km / h / 4 lanes).
- - The remaining lane is three lanes with a maximum speed of 80 km / h. The calculated maximum speed is 240 km / h (80 km / h for 3 tracks added). With originally four lanes, these have to be reduced to 60 km / h (240 km / h / 4 lanes).
It is important that the merging of the lanes of a lane is forced as far as possible. This reduces the risk of accidents and the influence of the "human factor". According to the invention, the vehicles are to be guided through a type of gate, as it were called a "Car Sort Gate" system, CSG system for short.
It is further preferred if, prior to reducing the lane in a three-lane traffic flow, markings are given for changing the vehicles from the middle to the outer lanes and for a two-lane traffic flow markings for changing the vehicles to a new lane. The markings serve as indications of the lane changes to be made so that drivers of the vehicles in the traffic flow can orient themselves early.
A marker for guiding a traffic lane from vehicles is also part of the invention. Markings are z. B. ground markings, signs and light signals. In the case of a three-lane traffic flow the marking indicates to the vehicles the change from the middle lane to both outer lanes. With a two-lane traffic flow, the marking indicates to the vehicles indications of the change from the two lanes to a new lane.
