Abstract

The invention relates to a method for the highlighted display of an object (O) detected in recorded image data of a vehicle camera in a vehicle (1). Description

  • The invention relates to a method for the highlighted display of an object detected in recorded image data of a vehicle camera in a vehicle.
  • From the DE 10 2006 047 777 A1 a method for image display is known in which by means of a camera image data from the environment of a vehicle are recorded and objects are detected in the recorded image data by means of an object recognition and the image data are at least partially displayed on a display, wherein detected in the image data objects at least partially be highlighted.
  • The invention has for its object to provide a comparison with the prior art improved method for highlighting a detected in captured image data of a vehicle camera object in a vehicle.
  • The object is achieved by the features specified in claim 1.

  • A method of highlighting an object detected in captured image data of a vehicle camera in a vehicle according to the invention provides that a windshield of the vehicle as a display area except a region in which a driver of the vehicle optically detects the object outside the vehicle by a predetermined factor is darkened.
  • By applying the method, an attention of the driver of the vehicle is directed to the object detected in the image data, wherein the object is in particular a speed limit traffic sign.
  • The driver of the vehicle recognizes by the highlighted display of the object for him important traffic events more reliable, whereby the traffic safety can be increased.

  1.
