Abstract

Description

The invention relates to a locking device, in particular for the passenger door of a motor vehicle.

In motor vehicles is known in older vehicles that a lock with a lock cylinder is provided with each door to unlock the respective door with a key or close.

It is also known in older vehicles that in motor vehicles with central locking only the driver's door is provided with a lock cylinder to unlock or close with a key. In this case, the closing device of the driver's door and the front passenger door is at least substantially identical, wherein a lock cylinder is used in the driver's door and not in the passenger door.

By omitting the lock cylinder on the passenger door, a room area is available in the area of the passenger door closing device which, in the event of manipulation by a tool, is accessible for forcibly opening the passenger door. In this area, for example, a tool penetrate through the gap of the window or through a hole produced in the door panel or in the door outer wall to manipulate the locking device to open the door. These manipulation attempts should be made as difficult as possible or prevented.

It is the object of the present invention to provide a locking device that is improved in terms of manipulation.

The object is achieved with the features of claim 1.

An embodiment of the invention relates to a closing device of a door, in particular for the passenger door or other door of a motor vehicle, with a closing bridge which is attached to the door, wherein in the closing bridge an opening is provided, in which a lock cylinder can be inserted, wherein between Door and closing bridge, a security element is used, which has a projection which engages in the opening, wherein the security element consists of a plastic material. By arranging the security element, the free space in the area of the closing bridge and between the closing bridge and the door can be filled, so that a tool can not be introduced there so easily in order to manipulate the closing components of the closing device. The insertion of the projection in the opening also prevents the easy pushing away of the security element, because this is thereby positively connected to the closing bridge.

It is advantageous in one embodiment, when the security element consists of a foam material. This makes it easy to make, is lightweight, yet stable.

It is particularly advantageous if the security element consists of a hard foam material. This makes it particularly stable for the defense of tools.

In a further embodiment, it is expedient if the security element has a base body which is block-shaped and is arranged between the door and the closing bridge. As a result, the volume of the free space is filled and the security element can be supported on the surface of the door and on the closing bridge and can not be so easily pushed away.

It is also advantageous if the base body surrounds the closing bridge at least partially outside. This causes an additional holding effect.

It is also advantageous if the base body forms at least one tongue, which surrounds the closing bridge at least partially outside. As a result, a good positive connection is also achieved.

It is particularly advantageous if the tongue engages over the closing bridge at the top, such as overlaps. Thus, an attack with a tool from above can be well defended and at the same time a displacement of the body can be made more difficult.

It is also advantageous if the tongue protrudes parallel to the projection from the base body. This improves the positive connection once again.
