Bei der vorliegenden Erfindung handelt es sich um Verfahren zur senkrechten Montage von großformatigen, einseitig selbstklebend ausgerüsteten, nicht starren, sondern bis zum gewissen Grad flexibel biegbaren plattenförmigen Elementen unter Verwendung einer Montagehilfe, insbesondere für großformatige selbstklebende Elemente in Platten- oder in sich stabiler Folienform, die insbesondere z.B. als Wandverkleidungen dienen oder auch zur Beklebung von Werbetafeln, LKW-Außenflächen oder Ähnlichem Verwendung finden können. Eine andere Lösung wird in US 7294792 B2 beschrieben: Hier wird zunächst eine Art Rahmen an einer Wand befestigt und die eigentlich zu befestigende Komponente dann mittels z.B. Die klebende Seite der Platte ist vor der Montage durch eine leicht ablösbare Abdeckung in Form eines Papier- oder Folien-Release-Liners abgedeckt, wobei die Abdeckung ca. in der Mitte ihrer Länge horizontal perforiert oder besser sogar durchtrennt ist. Die Befestigung einer Platte an einer senkrechten Oberfläche wird im Folgenden anhand der 1 bis 4 näher beschrieben:

  • 4: Perspektivische Darstellung nach dem Lösen der Montagehilfen und vor dem Entfernen des oberen Teils der Abdeckung und der dann erfolgenden endgültigen Befestigung der Platte

Die umgefaltete Abdeckfolie (8, 9) dient aber nun als eine Art Abstandshalter, der verhindert, dass die Platte (3) mittels des nun freiliegenden Klebebereichs vorzeitig an der Wand (1) haftet, sobald sie leicht daran angelehnt wird.
