Abstract

In the surface elements according to the invention may also be panels or comparable dimensionally stable formed components, which are used to define a space in the manner of a solid structure. Regardless of how surface elements of the type in question are used, covered by such surface elements, wrapped or shielded goods, the fundamental problem that they are repeatedly exposed to theft despite the passive protection formed by the respective surface element. Typically, an attempt is made to form in the surface element by an external attack an opening through which the respective good can be stolen. The attack is usually done by cutting or breaking and causes a local destruction of the surface element.

The damage caused by such theft attempts and the value of the goods stolen are considerable. There are therefore in particular from the field of tarpaulins, which are used as side or roof walls for superstructures of commercial vehicles, various attempts known to form the respective surface element so that it opposes maximum resistance to a destruction attempt. Thus, planar surface elements are known in which a flat textile insert, embedded in a matrix of plastic and are incorporated in the high-performance fibers, which effectively hinder a cutting attack ( DE 197 54 238 C1 ). Also from the DE 44 41 842 A1 known prior art is a truck tarpaulin, which is designed as a multi-layer textile fabric and has at least one layer of a cut-resistant knit fabric, which is welded, glued or foamed to the back of each consisting of a flexible plastic material carrier layer.

Although the surface elements equipped in the manner described above form an obstacle difficult to overcome against wanton damage or theft of the goods protected by the respective surface elements. If they are nevertheless broken, then the cargo is exposed to the thief's access, which can steal it unhindered and usually intact on the opening introduced by him in the surface element. Therefore, even if the stolen goods can be identified, the prosecution usually has the problem of proving its origin from a specific theft.

Against the background of the prior art described above, the object of the invention was to provide a surface element and a structure of the type specified in such a way that the proof that originally covered by such a surface element, wrapped or shielded, but after a targeted damage stolen goods stolen from the surface element stems from a certain theft, even then can still be performed if the theft at the time of the proof is a long time ago.

Likewise, other hollow structures, such as lattice-like structures of tubes or the like connected to each other at the intersections, label-filled pockets, pouches, cavities and the like formed in or on the surface member may be suitable for the purposes of the present invention.

In this case, structures or line systems in which the storage lines containing the marking agent are designed in the manner of capillaries can be particularly expedient.

According to a particularly practical embodiment of the invention, the surface element according to the invention is a tarpaulin which comprises a carrier layer which consists of a flexible material and in or on which the store is provided.
