Abstract

Description

The invention relates to a door for a household refrigerator, which has a door outer wall and a door inner wall and extending between the door outer wall and the door inner wall door closure strip. In a lowered area, a housing of a control electronics is arranged above the door closure strip and locked with this door closure strip. This housing is formed separately from the door closure strip and closed in itself. In terms of size, this housing is arranged practically precisely in the lowered area of the door closure strip.

By such a configuration, however, undesirable gaps arise outwardly between the complexly shaped door closure strip and this housing. It is an object of the present invention to provide both a door for a household refrigerator and a corresponding household refrigeration appliance, in which such gaps can be avoided.

A door according to the invention for a household refrigerating appliance comprises a door outer wall and a door inner wall arranged separate and spaced therefrom. The separate door outer wall and the door inner wall are connected by a door closure strip which extends between the door outer wall and the door inner wall. The door also includes an electronic display device located in the door. The display device is positioned so that an optical display of information takes place in the area of the door closure strip. This means that the optical signals of the display device in the area of the door closure strip are delivered outside the door. An essential idea of the invention can be seen in that this display device has a cover that covers the electronic components of the display device after door outside. This cover is also formed by the door closure strip itself. It is thus integrated in a single component, namely the door closure strip, the function cover of the display device and it is thus realized in a single component this multifunctionality. Such a configuration avoids unwanted gaps between a door closure strip and a separate display device. In addition, the number of components is reduced and thus reduces assembly costs. In an advantageous embodiment, the cover is designed as a U-profile.
