Description
The invention relates to a sulfur-crosslinkable rubber compound, in particular for treads of vehicle tires, and a vehicle tire.
Since the ride characteristics of a tire, in particular a pneumatic vehicle tire, depend to a great extent on the tread rubber composition, particularly high demands are placed on the composition of the tread compound. Due to the partial or complete replacement of the filler carbon black by silica in rubber compounds, the driving properties have been brought to a higher level overall in recent years. However, the known conflicting objectives of oppositely behaving tire properties continue to exist even with siliceous tread compounds. Thus, an improvement in the wet grip and the dry braking further tends to result in a deterioration of the rolling resistance, the winter properties and the abrasion behavior.
To solve the conflicting goals in the tread, many approaches have been followed. Thus, for example, the most varied and modified polymers, resins, plasticizers and finely divided fillers for rubber compounds have been used, and attempts have been made to influence the vulcanizate properties by modifying the preparation of the mixture.

However, the use of liquid polybutadiene in conventional blends has a very negative effect on the dry braking and dry handling of tires.

The invention is therefore based on the prior art based on the object to provide a rubber composition, which is characterized by a further improvement in rolling resistance and abrasion behavior, the other physical properties remain at the same level or in particular the tearing properties and / or the wet grip properties in the existing target conflicts are also further optimized and at least not negatively adversely affected.
- From 30 to 100 phr of at least one styrene-butadiene rubber which has a weight average Mw of the molecular weight according to GPC of from 250000 to 65000 g / mol and is at least terminally functionalized with at least one functional group, and
- - At least one silica and
- From 1 to 40 phr of at least one liquid polybutadiene terminally organosilicon-modified and having a weight average Mw of molecular weight by GPC of from 500 to 12,000 g / mol.
Surprisingly, by combining the constituents, the rubber mixture according to the invention has an improved rolling resistance behavior and an improved abrasion behavior, in particular a higher abrasion resistance, with increased tensile strengths and constant other tire properties.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle tire having less (and therefore improved) rolling resistance while having a higher wear resistance. The object is achieved in that the vehicle tire has at least one vulcanizate of at least one sulfur-crosslinkable rubber mixture with the above-mentioned features in at least one component. Preferably, the vehicle tire has the rubber compound at least in the tread, and preferably in the cap in the case of a tread having a cap / base construction. In the context of the present invention, "cap" is to be understood as meaning the part of the tread which comes into contact with the roadway and which is arranged radially on the outside (tread cap or tread cap). Under "base" in the context of the present invention, the part of the tread is to be understood, which is arranged radially inward, and thus in driving or not at the end of the tire life comes into contact with the road (tread base or Laustreifenbase).
In the context of the present invention, vehicle tires are understood to mean pneumatic vehicle tires and solid rubber tires, including tires for industrial and construction vehicles, truck, passenger car and two-wheeled tires.
The rubber mixture according to the invention is also suitable for treads, which consist of different juxtaposed and / or mutually arranged tread mixtures (multicomponent tread).
The rubber mixture according to the invention is also suitable for other technical rubber articles, such as bellows, conveyor belts, air springs, straps, belts or hoses, and shoe soles.
The ingredients of the sulfur-crosslinkable rubber mixture according to the invention are described in more detail below. All embodiments also apply to the vehicle tire according to the invention, which has the rubber mixture according to the invention in at least one component.
The term phr (parts per hundred parts of rubber by weight) used in this document is the quantity used in the rubber industry for mixture formulations. The dosage of the parts by weight of the individual substances is referred to in this document to 100 parts by weight of the total mass of all high molecular weight and thus solid rubbers present in the mixture. The polybutadiene according to the invention with a Mw of 500 to 12000 g / mol is therefore not included as a rubber in the hundred parts of the phr calculation. The term phf (parts per hundred parts of filler by weight) used in this document is the quantity used in the rubber industry for coupling agents for fillers.
In the context of the present application, phf refers to the available silicic acid, which means that other possible fillers such as carbon black are not included in the calculation of the amount of silane.
Die Bestimmung des Gewichtsmittels Mw und des Zahlenmittels Mn des Molekulargewichtes der Polymere erfolgt mittels Gelpermeationschromatographie (GPC mit Tetrahydrofuran (THF) als Elutionsmittel bei 40 °C, Apparat PPS, kalibriert mit Polystyrol-Standard; Größenausschlußchromatographie; engl. SEC = size exclusion chromatography in Anlehnung an
Essential to the invention, the sulfur-crosslinkable rubber mixture comprises at least one liquid polybutadiene which is terminally organosilicon-modified and has a weight average Mw of the molecular weight according to GPC of 500 to 12,000 g / mol. In this case, the value range of Mw includes that it is a liquid polybutadiene at room temperature. For the sake of simplicity, the term "liquid polybutadiene" is therefore also used in the context of the present invention. The statement of the Mw here refers to the polybutadiene including the organosilicon modification.
Such a modification results in particularly good rolling resistance indicators.

The silane coupling agents react with the superficial silanol groups of the silica or other polar groups during the mixing of the rubber or the rubber mixture (in situ) or even before the addition of the filler to the rubber in the sense of a pretreatment (pre-modification). All silane coupling agents known to the person skilled in the art for use in rubber mixtures can be used as silane coupling agents. Such known from the prior art coupling agents are bifunctional organosilanes having on the silicon atom at least one alkoxy, cycloalkoxy or phenoxy group as a leaving group and have as other functionality a group which may optionally undergo a chemical reaction with the double bonds of the polymer after cleavage , In the latter group may be z. For example, they may be the following chemical groups:

According to a particularly preferred embodiment, the rubber mixture comprises at least one silane coupling agent as described above, wherein the organosilicon-modified liquid polybutadiene does not count in the context of the present invention. According to this preferred embodiment of the Thus, the rubber composition of the invention comprises the organosilicon-modified liquid polybutadiene and at least one silane coupling agent, which is preferably selected from the group consisting of 3- (octanoylthio) -1-propyl-triethoxysilane and 3,3'-bis (triethoxysilylpropyl) tetrasulfide (TESPT ) and 3,3'-bis (triethoxysilylpropyl) disulfide (TESPD). In the triethoxysilylpropylsulfides as described above, a mixture with other sulfides is conceivable, wherein a proportion of S 2 silane (bis (triethoxysilylpropyl) disulfide) of 40 to 100 wt .-% based on the total amount of silane is preferred. This results in particularly good rolling resistance indicators in combination with very good other tire properties and good processability of the rubber mixture.
The plasticizer or plasticisers are preferably added in at least one basic mixing stage in the preparation of the rubber mixture according to the invention.
- a) Alterungsschutzmittel, wie z. B. N-Phenyl-N’-(1,3-dimethylbutyl)-p-phenylendiamin (6PPD), N,N‘-Diphenyl-p-phenylendiamin (DPPD), N,N‘-Ditolyl-p-phenylendiamin (DTPD), N-Isopropyl-N’-phenyl-p-phenylendiamin (IPPD), 2,2,4-Trimethyl-1,2-dihydrochinolin (TMQ),

- d) Mastikationshilfsmittel such. B. 2,2'-Dibenzamidodiphenyldisulfid (DBD) and
- e) processing aids, such as fatty acid salts, such as zinc soaps, and fatty acid esters and derivatives thereof.
The proportion of the total amount of further additives is 3 to 150 phr, preferably 3 to 100 phr and more preferably 5 to 80 phr. In the total amount of other additives are still 0.1 to 10 phr, preferably 1 to 8 phr, more preferably 1.5 to 4 phr, zinc oxide (ZnO). These may be any type of zinc oxide known to those skilled in the art, such as ZnO granules or powder. The conventionally used zinc oxide usually has a BET surface area of less than 10 m 2 / g. However, it is also possible to use a zinc oxide having a BET surface area of 10 to 100 m 2 / g, for example so-called "nano-zinc oxides". It is customary to add zinc oxide as activator, usually in combination with fatty acids (eg stearic acid), to a rubber mixture for sulfur crosslinking with vulcanization accelerators. The sulfur is then activated by complex formation for vulcanization.
The rubber composition may also contain adhesive systems such as e.g. Cobalt salts and reinforcing resins (eg resorcinol-HMMM / HMT) for use in body mixtures, in particular gum mixtures.
The vulcanization of the sulfur-crosslinkable rubber mixture according to the invention is carried out in the presence of sulfur and / or sulfur donors with the aid of vulcanization accelerators, wherein some vulcanization accelerators can simultaneously act as sulfur donors. The accelerator is selected from the group consisting of thiazole accelerators and / or mercapto accelerators and / or sulfenamide accelerators and / or thiocarbamate accelerators and / or thiuram accelerators and / or thiophosphate accelerators and / or thiourea accelerators and / or xanthate accelerators and / or guanidine accelerators. As a sulfur-donating substance, all sulfur-donating substances known to those skilled in the art can be used. If the rubber mixture contains a sulfur-donating substance, it is preferably selected from the group comprising, for example, thiuram disulfides, such as, for example, tetrabenzylthiuram disulfide (TBzTD) and / or tetramethylthiuram disulfide (TMTD) and / or tetraethylthiuram disulfide (TETD), and / or thiuram tetrasulfides, such as dipentamethylenethiuram tetrasulfide (DPTT). and / or dithiophosphates such as DipDis (bis- (diisopropyl) thiophosphoryldisulfid) and / or bis (O, O-2-ethylhexyl-thiophosphoryl) polysulfide (z. B. Rhenocure SDT 50 ®, Rhein Chemie GmbH) and / or Zinkdichloryldithiophosphat (z. B. Rhenocure ZDT / S ®, Rhein Chemie GmbH) and / or zinc alkyldithiophosphate, and / or 1,6-bis (N, N-dibenzylthiocarbamoyldithio) hexane and / or Diarylpolysulfide and / or dialkyl polysulfides.

In the preparation of the rubber mixture according to the invention, at least one vulcanizing agent selected from the group comprising, more preferably consisting of, sulfur and / or sulfur donors and / or vulcanization accelerators and / or vulcanizing agents which crosslink with a functionality greater than four is added in the final mixing stage. This makes it possible to produce from the mixed finished mixture by vulcanization a sulfur-crosslinked rubber mixture, in particular for use in vehicle tires.
Particularly preferred is the use of the accelerators TBBS and / or CBS and / or diphenylguanidine (DPG).
In addition, vulcanization retarders may be present in the rubber compound.
The terms "vulcanized" and "crosslinked" are used synonymously in the context of the present invention.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, a plurality of accelerators are added in the final mixing stage in the preparation of the sulfur-crosslinkable rubber mixture. The sulfur-crosslinkable rubber mixture according to the invention is prepared by the process customary in the rubber industry, in which first of all one or more mixing stages is used to produce a base mixture with all components except the vulcanization system (sulfur and vulcanization-influencing substances). By adding the vulcanization system in a final mixing stage, the finished mixture is produced. The finished mixture is further processed eg by an extrusion process and brought into the appropriate form. Subsequently, the further processing by vulcanization, wherein due to the added in the context of the present invention Vulkanisationssystems sulfur crosslinking takes place.
The above-described rubber composition according to the invention is particularly suitable for use in vehicle tires, in particular pneumatic vehicle tires. In this case, the application in all tire components is in principle conceivable, such as the tread and / or the side wall and / or in at least one inner component. As a body mixture here are the rubber compounds for the inner components of a tire called. The inner tire components are essentially squeegee, sidewall, innerliner (inner layer), core profile, belt, shoulder, belt profile, carcass, bead reinforcer, bead profile, horn profile and bandage. However, the rubber mixture according to the invention is preferably used in treads of vehicle tires, preferably in this case at least in the cap of treads with cap / base construction.
For use in vehicle tires, the mixture as a finished mixture prior to vulcanization is preferably brought into the form of a tread, preferably at least in the form of a tread cap, and applied as known in the manufacture of the vehicle tire blank. The tread, preferably at least the tread cap, but can also be wound in the form of a narrow rubber compound strip on a green tire. In the case of two-part treads (upper part: cap and lower part: base), the rubber mixture according to the invention can be used both for the cap and for the base. The preparation of the rubber mixture according to the invention for use as a body mixture in vehicle tires is carried out as already described for the tread. The difference lies in the shaping after the extrusion process or the calendering of the mixture. The thus obtained forms of the still unvulcanized rubber mixture for one or more different body mixtures are then used to build a green tire. To use the rubber composition according to the invention in belts and straps, in particular in conveyor belts, the extruded unvulcanized mixture is brought into the appropriate shape and often or later with strength carriers, e.g. synthetic fibers or steel cords. In most cases, this results in a multi-layered structure, consisting of one and / or several layers of rubber mixture, one and / or more layers of identical and / or different reinforcement and one and / or several other layers of the like and / or another rubber mixture.
The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to comparative and exemplary embodiments, which are summarized in Table 1. The comparison mixtures are with V, the mixtures according to the invention are marked with E.

The preparation of the mixture was carried out according to the usual method in the rubber industry under normal conditions in three stages in a laboratory mixer in the first mixing stage (basic mixing stage) all ingredients except the vulcanization system (sulfur and Vulkanisationsbeeinflussende substances) were mixed. In the second mixing stage, the basic mixture was mixed again. By adding the vulcanization system in the third stage (final mixing stage), the finished mixture was produced, mixing at 90 to 120 ° C was.

Tabelle 1
