Um diese Fensterbank etwas unter den Rahmen schieben zu können, weist der untere Rahmenschenkel des Fenster- oder Türrahmens einen Bankanschluss auf. Dieser Bankanschluss ist in etwa mittig am unteren Rahmenschenkel vorgesehen und besteht bei Kunststoffrahmen beispielsweise aus einem schmalen Hohlkammerprofil, das fest mit dem unteren Rahmenschenkel verbunden ist, sodass beide eine Einheit bilden.
