The invention discloses an energy system comprising a plurality of energy units and a plurality of heat elements, wherein energy units and the heat elements are covered by a housing. Through the housing, a space of the energy system is bounded, which can be heated by the heat elements, the space of the energy system. According to the invention, it is provided here that the electrical heating elements are arranged relative to the energy units such that a substantially homogeneous temperature distribution in the space of the energy system can be achieved. The housing has at least one housing element. As a housing element may be considered a spherical shape. Other forms of housing, z. B. with a bottom element and a cover element are conceivable. Thus, the housing may have a flat bottom element, on which a semicircular ball is arranged. Also, the housing may comprise a bottom element, a side member and a lid member, whereby z. B. can realize a cylinder as a housing. Other types of housing such. B. a cube are conceivable. All housing types have in common that the housing of the energy system is clamped by the housing elements used. In the space of the energy system, the energy units are arranged, wherein the energy units z. B. close to the ground can be arranged on the available floor element of the housing. It is also conceivable that the energy units via spacers centrally in the middle of a housing z. B. a housing can be arranged in spherical form. The energy units have a spatial-physical extent, resulting in a certain volume. The volume of the energy units is less than the volume of the housing. Accordingly, the energy units can be arranged in the housing. In the case of a ground-level arrangement of the energy units in the housing, a free space is accordingly formed between the energy units and the remaining housing elements. This space can be filled with air. The energy units can be battery cells, which can be used for a drive of a motor vehicle. The energy units are accordingly exposed to different temperature values. Thus, the energy units in winter can be exposed to a temperature below freezing. The energy units can be lithium-ion batteries, the lithium-ion batteries at a temperature between 20 ° C and 40 ° C have the highest capacity. In addition, the capacity of the lithium-ion battery is higher with a homogeneous temperature distribution, than with an inhomogeneous temperature distribution. Accordingly, the housing and accordingly the energy units can be exposed to freezing temperatures after operation in the motor vehicle in wintry conditions. The energy units, in particular the lithium-ion batteries can advantageously after operation an operating temperature of z. B. 20 ° C have. The energy units can be arranged on the bottom element of the housing. The cooling takes place inhomogeneous, in Close to the ground the cooling of the energy units takes place more strongly than further above the floor element. In the case that the housing is designed as a cylinder, that is to say that a base element has a side element and a cover element has the housing, the temperature gradient runs from the floor element to the cover element. That is, near the ground, the air cools faster between the energy unit and the side member, as in the vicinity of the lid member. This is due to the fact that the air density of cold air is higher than that of warm air. Thus, the air density at -20 ° C is 1.3943 kg per m 3 and at 20 ° C 1.2041 kg per m 3 . Accordingly, there is an inhomogeneous cooling of the energy units, whereby the capacity of the energy units is reduced. In addition, energy units, in particular lithium-ion battery cells can lose a lot of capacity, if it were charged at minus degrees. Therefore, the electric heating elements can be arranged to compensate for the inhomogeneous temperature distribution near the bottom of the bottom element. Accordingly, the electrical heating elements counteract a stronger cooling of the energy units near the bottom, whereby a homogeneous temperature distribution in the space of the energy system can be achieved. The electrical heating elements can be advantageously designed annular in a housing which is designed as a cylinder. The ring can be arranged around the energy units near the ground. Advantageously, at least one temperature sensor can be arranged in the housing, which detects the temperature distribution in the housing. The temperature data detected by the temperature sensor can be forwarded to a control unit. The electrical heating elements can also be arranged on this control unit. The control unit can electrically control the electrical heating elements based on the temperature data. The electrical control refers to a regulation of the heat output of the heat elements.
According to the invention it is provided that the heat elements have an electrical resistance. An electrical resistor, to which electrical energy is supplied, converts this energy into heat. The power output of the heat is determined by the formula P = U · I, that is, power is equal to the product of voltage times current. The higher the voltage selected, which is applied to the electric heating elements, the higher the power output. Accordingly, the higher the electrical current flow through the resistor, the higher the electrical power output through the resistor. Thus, by selecting the magnitude of the resistance of the applied voltage or the current flow, the power output via the electrical heating element can be determined. Thus, two effects can be exploited, wherein initially on the current strength, the power output according to the formula P = R · I 2 , that is, power is equal to the resistance times times the current squared. Further, a power output over the electric heating elements may be given by the formula P = U 2 / R, that is, the power is equal to the quotient of the voltage squared and the resistance value, where the dividend is the voltage squared and the divisor is the electrical resistance value is. Accordingly, with the current level or voltage applied to the resistor, the power output can be regulated by varying the resistance value. This applies accordingly with a constant voltage applied to the electrical heating elements, wherein by a variation of the resistance, the power output can be regulated by the electrical heating elements.
Furthermore, it is provided according to the invention that the resistance is dependent on the temperature, and that a resistance characteristic of the resistor has an NTC characteristic. This can be done by the electric heating elements, a self-regulating heat dissipation. Thus, an uneven temperature distribution within the housing can be counteracted automatically by the resistor with the NTC characteristic. With an NTC (negative temperature coefficient) characteristic, the electrical resistance decreases over the temperature. Thus, the power output to the resistor can be controlled by the temperature. Thus, the same voltage of z. B. 12 volts, the electrical power is converted according to P = U 2 / R in heat output. Accordingly, the higher the resistance value, the lower is the converted electric power through the resistor R. The lower the resistance value, the higher the converted electric power P through the resistor R. Thus, with an NTC characteristic, depending on the application delivered heat output of the resistor based on the temperature surrounding the resistor can be controlled.
According to the invention, it is provided that the energy system has at least two energy units, wherein the heat elements are arranged between two energy units, in particular that the heat elements touch at least one energy unit. By using at least two energy units, the capacity of the entire energy system can be increased. The energy units can be connected in parallel or in a row. The series connection of the energy units opens in a higher voltage output. With a parallel connection of the energy units, a higher current can be drawn from the overall network, that is to say in parallel connection of the energy units. The energy units can be arranged spatially, physically, close to each other, in particular arranged such that touch the energy units. Thus, it is inventively provided that a plurality of energy units are arranged in a specific composite to each other. The energy units can be used side by side. Also, other arrangements are conceivable, such. B. the use of 16 energy units, each with 4 energy units are arranged side by side, so that a square of 4 times 4 energy units can form. By using several energy units accumulates accordingly at the point where the energy units touch the heat. As a result, an inhomogeneous temperature distribution can accordingly arise within the energy unit assembly. To counteract this inhomogeneous temperature distribution, the heat elements around the composite of energy units, eg. B. are arranged around the 16 energy units, which are arranged in a square. It is also conceivable that a heat element is arranged between the interface between two energy units. This means that several heat elements can be used, so that each interface of the energy unit assembly has a heating element. Within the energy unit network z. B. the heat dissipation during operation of the energy unit network greater than at the edge of the energy unit network, since heat can be dissipated worse in the space of the housing. The arrangement of the heat elements directly to an energy unit offers the advantage that the heat transfer from the heat elements to the energy units takes place directly. Convection of the heat of the heat elements to the energy units can be omitted accordingly, so that a faster heat transfer from the heat elements to the energy units can take place.
According to the invention it is provided that at least two heat elements are connected in series, wherein the heat elements have an electrical resistance and a resistance characteristic of the resistor has an NTC character. At the resistor, which is mounted at a cooler point within the housing, a higher voltage drops, which according to the formula P = U 2 / R at this point more heat is produced, as in warmer places. Accordingly, the colder places within the energy system are heated more than the warmer places. As the temperature difference decreases, so does the heat input until the temperature differential is equalized and the heat input is the same across all battery cells.
Furthermore, it is conceivable that at least two heat elements are connected in parallel, wherein the heat elements have an electrical resistance and has a resistance characteristic of the value resistance at a PTC character. The heat elements can be supplied by a common voltage source and counteract self-regulating temperature differences within the housing. Since the resistance of the electric heating elements, which are arranged at cooler areas, is lower, flows here a larger current and according to the formula P = R · I 2 , more heat is generated, as in the warmer places. Also in this case, the colder places within the housing are heated more than the already warmer places. As the temperature difference decreases, the heat input also decreases correspondingly until the temperature difference is equalized and the heat input is the same across all battery cells.
Optionally, it is conceivable that the housing is thermally insulating, in particular the side member of the housing thermally insulating, designed. As a result, the heat flow can be slowed down towards the housing exterior. It is also conceivable that the bottom element and the cover element of the housing are designed thermally insulating. As a result, the amount of heat given off the electric heating elements can be used optimally. A removal of heat outside the housing can be effectively avoided. Accordingly, a homogeneous temperature distribution can be achieved quickly and efficiently by the arranged electrical heating elements.
The energy system according to the invention is designed in such a way that an electrical heating element is arranged in the housing, wherein the electrical heating element is designed spatially-physically such that all energy stores arranged in the housing are electrically heatable. The electric heating element is arranged on the bottom element of the housing. The electrical heating element can be configured over a large area, whereby all arranged in the housing energy storage can be heated by the electric heating element. Thus, the entire energy system can be heated by the electric heating element. The electric heating element can be used as an electrical heating element.
Optionally, it is conceivable that the housing has an opening, wherein at least one cable can be passed through the opening. The cable can be used for the energetic supply of the electrical heating elements. In this case, a two- or multi-wire cable can be used. The implementation of another cable for charging or discharging the energy units, or the energy unit network can through the opening be guided. Furthermore, it is conceivable that a sensor line is guided through the opening, wherein at the end of the sensor line, a sensor is mounted, which can be arranged in the housing. This sensor can be a temperature sensor that can detect the current temperature inside the housing. The detected temperature data by the sensor can be passed via the sensor line to a control unit within a motor vehicle. The sensor can be electrically connected to a control unit, wherein the control unit can be connected to a CAN bus. Accordingly, an exchange of temperature data within the housing via the CAN bus can be achieved.
Optionally, it is conceivable that the opening can be sealed by a sealing means. Since the use of the energy system in a motor vehicle is possible, the energy system can be exposed to environmental influences, with environmental influences such. As dust, dirt or moisture can surround the energy system. In order to prevent the effects of these environmental influences within the energy system, a sealing means may advantageously be arranged at the opening. The sealant can be designed such that in particular the penetration of moisture into the housing can be prevented. Accordingly, the sealant z. B. be formed on silicone base, so that z. B. through a water spray no moisture can pass through the opening into the housing. It is also conceivable that the housing is made waterproof. The sealant, which may be configured based on silicone, may be configured as a ring, wherein the cable can be performed through the inner opening of the ring. The cable itself may also have a sheath made of silicone-based, wherein the silicone of the sealant and the silicone of the sheath can ensure a high tightness.
It is also advantageous that the housing is made of a non-conductive material. The non-conductive material may be a plastic, wherein the plastic may have a low thermal conductivity. As a result, by selecting the material of the housing, a thermal insulation of the housing can already be specified. In addition, the choice of the housing made of a non-conductive material is advantageous for electrical insulation of the energy units, wherein a shock protection against electric shock in case of malfunction of the energy units can be achieved.
Furthermore, it is advantageous that the housing has a drying unit, whereby moisture from the housing in the environment of the housing can be discharged. The drying unit can be arranged inside the housing. The drying unit can dissipate moisture from the housing to the outside. By dehumidifying the surrounding space of the energy system, accordingly, the electrical safety within the energy system can be increased. In addition, corrosion of at least one electrical connection surface of the energy units can be effectively prevented.
Furthermore, it is conceivable that the energetic supply of the heat elements is effected by the energy units. Thus, within the energy system, that is, within the housing, the electrical heat elements are energized by the energy units. An additional or generally a supply of electrical heating elements via an electrical supply line from the outside into the energy system can be effectively avoided. Thus, the use of an energetic line, which can be used for charging and discharging the energy units is sufficient. The electrical line can be passed through the opening of the housing.
