Abstract

The gutter has a sliding frame arranged in a drain groove for accommodating ingress of water. Description

The present invention relates to a sliding roof drainage system for a motor vehicle with a drainage groove arranged in a sunroof frame for receiving penetrating water and with a drainage pipe connected to the drainage groove.

Such sunroof drainages are well known. In this case, infiltrated water flows or drips through the drainage pipe to an outlet opening in the body of the vehicle. Due to the necessary pressure equalization between inside and outside air flows simultaneously against the flow direction of the water through the drainage pipe. This can cause a clink of the water, which is distracting.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a sunroof drainage for a motor vehicle, which ensures an improved water drain with a simple structure and also prevents noise by clucking.

According to an advantageous development, an annular engagement region surrounding the intermediate section and the pipe socket is provided in the intermediate section in the region of the junction of the pipe socket. This ensures a secure connection of the pipe socket with the other sections of the drainage pipe.

Advantageously, the diameter of the pipe socket is smaller than the diameter of the first and second pipe sections and the intermediate section.
