Um eine Windabweiseinrichtung zu entwickeln, bei der eine Schwingungsanregung des Windabweisers auf gewichts- und kostengünstige Weise zumindest gering gehalten werden kann, ist es erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, dass der Windabweiser zumindest in dem Teilbereich als bei einer Vorwärtsfahrt des Kraftwagens Auftrieb erzeugendes Flügelprofil ausgebildet ist. Dies bedeutet, dass der Windabweiser zumindest in diesem Teilbereich einen Querschnitt aufweist, der nach dem Prinzip einer Flugzeugtragfläche ausgeführt ist. Dadurch wird auf den Windabweiser bei einer Vorwärtsfahrt eine Kraft nach oben ausgeübt, wobei diese Auftriebskraft mit steigender Fahrgeschwindigkeit ansteigt. Diese Auftriebskraft stabilisiert dabei den Windabweiser in seiner Windabweisstellung genutzt, so dass möglichst keine optisch unschönen oder Geräusche verursachenden Schwingungen des Windabweisers auftreten. Da die Stabilisierung des Windabweisers durch den Fahrtwind erfolgt, kann auf kosten- und gewichtsintensive Verstärkungsmaßnahmen wie beispielsweise Metalleinleger oder durchgehende Rohrverstärkungen verzichtet werden.
