Die Erfindung löst die gestellte Aufgabe mit einem Filterelement für eine Erodiermaschine, an dessen Stirnseiten jeweils eine Scheibe angeordnet ist und das von einem Gehäuse umgeben ist, wobei das Filterelement lose in dem Gehäuse angeordnet ist und das Gehäuse an der Erodiermaschine befestigbar ist. Somit kann zukünftig bei einem Wechsel des Filterelementes das teure Gehäuse in der Erodiermaschine verbleiben und weiter verwendet werden. Es wird somit nur noch das Filterelement ausgetauscht. Das Gehäuse kann lose an einen speziell dafür vorgesehenen Platz in die Erodiermaschine gestellt werden. Es kann jedoch auch lösbar mit der Erodiermaschine befestigt sein. Ferner ist es möglich, das Gehäuse unlösbar an der Erodiermaschine zu befestigen.
