Diese Kippachse ist vorteilhafter Weise vor oder hinter der Rollachse des Fahrwerks gelegen, sodass sich beim Verschwenken des Fahrwerks um die Kippachse ein Höhenunterschied des Rahmens zum Boden ergibt. Der Achskörper weist an der Kippachse einen Ausleger auf, der über ein Federelement mit dem Rahmen verbunden ist. Dieses Federelement ist so ausgelegt, dass es für das maximale Gewicht, für das das Fördermittel ausgelegt ist, etwa die Hälfte der Gewichtskraft ausgleicht. Auf diese Weise muss das für die Hubfunktion eingesetzte Antriebsmittel in jedem Fall höchstens die Hälfte des maximalen Gewichtes in die eine oder andere Richtung antreiben. Bei maximaler Beladung wirkt das Federelement als Kraftspeicher beim Anheben der Last unterstützend, bei Leerfahrt spannt der Antrieb die Feder beim Absenken. Auf diese Weise kann das Antriebsmittel entsprechend kleiner und leichter ausgelegt werden und wird zudem gleichmäßiger belastet. Im Fall einer Auslegung für verhältnismäßig geringe Lasten ist ebenso ein nicht motorischer Antrieb möglich. Um sowohl in der abgesenkten wie in der angehobenen Stellung des Fördermittels sicherzustellen, dass die jeweilige Position gehalten wird, kann die Antriebsmechanik entweder selbsthemmend, d. h. bei abgeschaltetem Antrieb durch äußere Kräfte nicht invertierend betreibbar, oder mittels einfacher Hebelmechanik in eine Über-Totpunkt-Lage gebracht werden. Ebenfalls sind Verriegelungen für beide Stellungen denkbar. Um Varianten der maximalen Förderlast zu ermöglichen, kann erstens das Federelement auf einfache Weise in verschiedenen Stärken ausgelegt werden, oder es wird für eine Variation in Stufen einfach die Anzahl der einzubauenden Federelemente angepasst, indem der Ausleger am Achskörper und der Rahmen mehrere Montagestellen für das gleiche Federelement aufweisen.The main component of the invention is a lifting mechanism in which the axle body of the chassis of the conveying means is pivotally mounted on the frame about a tilting axis transverse to the direction of travel.
