Eine derartige Elastomerkupplung ist in Form einer Periflex-Reifenkupplung durch die Firma Stromag AG allgemein bekannt. Als Elastomerkörper ist ein Reifen vorgesehen, der an seinen gegenüberliegenden Ringflanken mit jeweils einem metallischen Kupplungsteil der Elastomerkupplung verbunden ist. Jeder Kupplungsteil weist einen Flanschkörper sowie einen Druckring auf, wobei die jeweilige Ringflanke des Elastomerreifens zwischen dem Flanschkörper und dem Druckring axial eingespannt wird. Zur Erhöhung einer Drehmomentübertragung zwischen den Kupplungsteilen und dem als Reifen gestalteten Elastomerkörper sind die Druckringe im Bereich ihrer dem Elastomerreifen zugewandten Stirnfläche durch ein Rauspritzverfahren behandelt, um einen erhöhten Reibschluss im Bereich der Stirnfläche des jeweiligen Druckringes zu erzielen.Such an elastomer coupling is generally known in the form of a Periflex tire coupling by Stromag AG. Im Gegensatz zum Stand der Technik, bei dem eine nachträgliche Behandlung der Druckringe erfolgt, werden erfindungsgemäß bereits bei der Herstellung des Druckringes entsprechende Profilierungen an der Stirnfläche des Druckringes mit eingebracht. Ein zusätzlicher Bearbeitungs- oder Behandlungsvorgang des Druckringes entfällt dadurch. Dies ermöglicht eine kostengünstige Herstellung bei gleichzeitig wenigstens gleich großem Potenzial der Drehmomentübertragung. Unter einem einstufigen Guss- oder Schmiedevorgang ist ein Guss- oder Schmiedeverfahren in einem geeigneten Werkzeug zu verstehen. Die durch den Guss- oder Schmiedevorgang erzielte Oberflächenrauheit stellt ohne zusätzliche weitere Bearbeitungsschritte bereits die Oberflächenrauheit des Endproduktes des Druckringes dar. Der Druckring wird vorzugsweise aus einer Stahllegierung hergestellt. Jeder Kupplungsteil besteht vorzugsweise aus einem Ringflansch sowie dem Druckring als separatem Bauteil, das über Schraubverbindungen mit dem Ringflansch verbindbar ist.
