Die vorliegende Erfindung beruht auf dem allgemeinen Gedanken, ein in Verbundbauweise ausgebildetes Karosseriebauteil alternativ aufzubauen. Das erfindungsgemäße Karosseriebauteil weist dabei ein Außenbeplankungsteil und ein damit verbundenes Innenteil auf, wobei das Innenteil zur Aussteifung des Außenbeplankungsteils ausgebildet ist. Das Außenbeplankungsteil weist darüber hinaus eine nach innen orientierte Verprägung zur Aufnahme einer Bremsleuchte auf, wogegen das Innenteil Aussparungen zur Gewichtsreduzierung mit zum Außenbeplankungsteil gerichteten und einen Flansch aufweisenden Rändern besitzt, die direkt am Außenbeplankungsteil anliegen. Das Innenteil ist somit über die Flansche der Ränder der Aussparungen direkt anliegend mit dem Außenbeplankungsteil verbunden, insbesondere verklebt, wodurch ein einerseits steifes und andererseits gewichtsreduziertes Karosseriebauteil, das zudem als Heckklappe ausgebildet ist, erreicht werden kann. Die Aussparungen sind darüber hinaus derart geformt bzw. angeordnet, dass ein optisch ansprechender Eindruck beim Öffnen der Heckklappe vermittelt wird.
