Description
The invention relates to a method for the dissolution of waste paper, in particular for waste paper loaded with printing inks for producing a pulp suspension, which is subsequently passed through a plurality of dewatering and cleaning stages to a paper machine for producing a paper web, wherein at least a portion of the at the subsequent dewatering stages for dissolution accumulating process water is used.
The dissolution is carried out in a pulper, the so-called pulper, which is followed by further treatment steps, including a deinking unit. In this case, a fibrous suspension to be processed on a paper machine is produced by means of known process steps from the waste paper.
The object of the pulper is the dissolution of the waste paper material to produce a more or less speck-free, pumpable suspension with detachment of the printing inks from the paper fibers. For this purpose, the water to be used in the pulper, the replacement of the printing inks supporting chemicals such. As sodium hydroxide, water glass, peroxide and / or surfactants are added before the waste paper material is introduced. The water to be used in the pulper is usually the backwater resulting from the manufacturing process (referred to herein as process water).
The object of the invention is therefore to increase the whiteness and / or the proportion of wastepaper-loaded waste paper without adversely affecting the whiteness of the paper web produced therefrom.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the process water used for the dissolution is formed at most to 50% of the process water of the first dewatering stage.
The process water contains an amount of fine to very finely dispersed ink particles. Since the dissolution in the pulper, the soaking of the waste paper and the detachment of the ink particles proceeds substantially simultaneously, the number of ink particles in the pulp suspension increases.
The particles, which are introduced with the process water, add up with the freshly detached from the paper fibers and accumulate strongly. The finest ink particles penetrate along with the water into the originally dry lumen during the dissolution process, d. H. into the cell cavities of the fibers, from where they can not be removed in the subsequent stock preparation.
This process is referred to in the jargon as "lumenloading". Under the present conditions, it leads to graying of the substance, which is difficult to undo, from which light or white varieties of paper can no longer be produced.
The described becomes increasingly problematic if the waste paper with water-dispersed colors in the so-called flexographic printing or inkjet printing method is printed, since these ink particles are particularly fine and therefore easily penetrate into the lumen of the fibers.
By limiting the reuse of the process water originating from the first dewatering stage, this process can be counteracted.
It is therefore advantageous if the process water used for dissolution is formed at most up to 30%, preferably at most 15%, of the process water of the first dewatering stage or, in particular, not of the process water of the first dewatering stage.
As a result, the process water of the first dehydration stage should normally only after the dissolution, d. H. be recycled between the pulper and this dewatering stage to the pulp suspension.
Namely, once the fiber lumen is filled with fresh water or process water of relatively low load, no further mass transport of the ink particles into the cavities of the cells of the paper fibers can occur later on contact with the more highly loaded process water of the first dewatering stage. The previously unavoidable and irreversible graying of the substance is thereby prevented in spite of economic use of recycled water.
Nevertheless, a large part of the process water can be used, wherein a portion of the process water as needed by known means, eg. B. by precipitation and subsequent microflotation, is processed to water, which is free from any microscopic fine ink particles and paint-removing chemicals.
Because of the low load, it is also advantageous if the process water used for the dissolution at least partially from Process water of the paper machine is formed. The quantitative ratio between the used process water of the paper machine and the stock preparation is between 1: 3 and 1: 5.
However, the recirculated in the manufacturing process amount of water must be regularly supplemented preferably with fresh water to compensate for the unavoidable losses.
In order to support the release of the printing inks at the resolution, often appropriate chemicals are used. These chemicals can be added to the process water and / or fresh water used for dissolution.
If the chemicals are added to the fresh water, a pre-reaction of these, as is possible with process water, can be ruled out.
As a result, can be reduced by the invention, the use of chemicals at the same whiteness of the fibrous web.
Furthermore, due to the lower loading of the process water on a microflotation or even generally on a cleaning stage for the process water used in the resolution can be dispensed with.
