Description
The invention relates to a filter system for filtering water of a fish pond, in particular a Koi fish pond, according to the preamble of claim 1.
Filter systems for fish ponds are available on the market in various designs. Thus, for example, under the name Ultrabad UB40 a single-chamber filter system is known in which in a closed tank, the water to be cleaned is admitted under pressure and swirled and then rises through a variety of floating filter balls up and is cleaned and sucked. In this case, the filter balls act on the one hand as a mechanical filtration and on the other hand, they form a large settlement area for the required bacteria that cause biodegradation.
Furthermore, also developed especially for Koi ponds, a drum filter of the company Hydrotech AS is known in which runs in a housing a sieve drum by the water to be purified flows or is pumped in and through a special cell structure of the drum, which the mechanical filter element represents, mechanically cleaned and the streamed through the cell structure, mechanically purified water then passes into an underlying biological filter chamber in which the biodegradation takes place. The drum structure is cleaned above the water level in the drum by acting on the outside of the drum water jet and are flushed by the backwash, the impurities from the cell structure and enters a mounted inside the drum collecting channel and is rinsed in a collection container for solids. Such a system must be designed to be large in order to achieve the desired cleaning, which has the disadvantage that such a system visually disturbing. Since the backwashing and the filtration takes place within the same housing, the noise emissions are correspondingly large.

The patentee has recognized this problem and developed a filter system. This filter system has two chambers, wherein in a first, upper chamber, a mechanical filtration and in a second, arranged below chamber, a biological filtration. The mechanical filtration is carried out by the flow of water to be purified through a filter fleece, which comes from a supply roll coming over a carrier conveyor belt, which is designed trough-like. As soon as the filter fleece has reached a certain degree of soiling, the water in the trough rises and as soon as a certain level is reached, the filter fleece is conveyed on by a predetermined distance. The purified water passes from the first chamber, in which the mechanical filtration is carried out, then in the second filter chamber, in which the biological degradation stage is housed. Once the entire web roll is used up, it must be replaced. Although this filter system works extremely effectively, it has the disadvantage that in the event of prolonged absence there is the risk that the filter fleece is used up and there is no operator who could replace this filter fleece band.

The filter system described here can be completely automatically monitored and the maintenance work is extremely low. As a result, a pond owner may also be easily absent for a prolonged period of time without running the risk of his fish being poisoned by untreated water in the pond.
