Ferner ist ein seitliches Einschieben in das Profil nur bedingt möglich, da sich die doppelten Laufschienen in der gleichen Ebene befinden. Durch die natürlichen Verwerfungen bei gehärtetem Glas (ESG) und durch ungenaues Zusammenfügen der Gehrungen stößt das Glas beim Schieben an die vertikalen Profilkanten. Kunststoffprofile sind für das Auswechseln ungeeignet, da sie fest mit dem Metallprofil verbunden sind. Ferner ist bekannt, dass zum Schieben von Glasscheiben in Vitrinen stranggepresste Aluminiumprofile eingesetzt werden, die komplett mit einer Farbbeschichtung versehen sind, welche ein Verschieben der Glasscheiben überhaupt erst ermöglicht. D. h., ist die Farbbeschichtung durch das Hin- und Herschieben erst einmal verschlissen, dann muss das gesamte Produkt ausgetauscht werden. Gleichfalls ist auch hier ein seitliches Einschieben der Glasscheibe in das Profil nur bedingt möglich, da sich die doppelten Laufschienen in der gleichen Ebene befinden. Durch das Ankanten wird so die Farbbeschichtung zerstört und das ESG-Glas unterliegt einer noch höheren Bruchgefahr, da die empfindliche Glaskante jetzt einen direkten Kontakt zum Metallprofil hat.
