Im Bereich der Sollbruchlinie 6 weist der Schraubverschluss 1 eine insgesamt reduzierte Wandstärke auf, wobei jedoch gewährleistet ist, dass eine Barriereschicht 5 ausreichender Dicke vorhanden ist. Dieser Bereich wird mittels eines Lasers 8 geeigneter Wellenlänge bestrahlt, um die Barriereschicht aus EVOH zu verspröden und damit leicht brüchig zu machen. Die Bestrahlung erfolgt vorzugsweise über den gesamten Umfang des Schraubverschlusses entlang der Sollbruchlinie 6; bedarfsweise kann die Bestrahlung auch abschnittsweise unterbrochen werden. 3 zeigt die Situation im Bereich der Sollbruchlinie 6 vor der Bestrahlung und die 4 nach der Bestrahlung. Im Bereich der Sollbruchlinie 6 ist das EVOH versprödet worden, was mit der gepunkteten Darstellung der Barriereschicht 5 in diesem Bereich veranschaulicht werden soll.
