Apparatus for performing chemical experiments involving reactive gases comprises a feed pipe (8a) for supplying reactive gas to a reactor (9a), devices for measuring and controlling the gas flow through the feed pipe, and a feed pipe (13a) for an inert gas connected to the reactive gas feed pipe. An independent claim is also included for performing parallel experiments using apparatus as above.
